Chris Lake Unleashes Massive House Weapon “Deceiver” With Green Velvet

deceiver cover art

Chris Lake just let loose another one of his secret weapons. This time, it comes in the form of a collaboration with Green Velvet, aka the label head of Relief Records (one of the most prolific house labels in the U.S.). This brand new track, “Deceiver” has been used a climactic point in Chris Lake and Green Velvet’s sets over the past year, and they finally feel like they’re ready to release it to the public.

“Deceiver,” like many of both Chris Lake & Green Velvet’s tracks, features a very heavy, prominent bass line that could rock a dance floor on its own. Green Velvet moves the track along with his infectious “I see your lips movin’ / but what you talkin’ bout?” vocals, until you reach the final drop which detonates on impact with signature Chris Lake laser sounds.

If this doesn’t get you moving, nothing probably will. Turn up your speakers, get up out of your seat, and stream this brand new track below. It's out now via Chris Lake's Black Book label Enjoy!

Chris Lake & Destructo Drop New Tech-House Weapon “Y.O.D.O.”

Chris Lake’s fresh new label Black Book Records continues to put forth some phenomenal tracks. We’ve already been treated to some ridiculous tech house bombs like “Dance With Me,” “Lose My Mind,” and “Drop Top.” Now, Chris Lake teams up with Destructo to drop one of their most played out and anticipated weapons, “Y.O.D.O.

We’ve been waiting on this one for a minute. It’s been making its way around the festival circuit, and being supported by artists like Justin Martin and Fisher, and today it finally sees the light of day.

As is always the case with Chris Lake and Destructo, the production extremely clean. Just as “Y.O.D.O.” sounds like it’s going to drift off into some euphoric melody, it flips itself upside down, dropping hard with a trippy ascending synth that’s fueled by a steady bass line. It comes back around one more time before fading out, leaving you with just enough, but also begging you to play it over again.

Stream the track below and enjoy!

Dirtybird Campout Announces Solid Lineup For 2018 West Coast Edition

Dirtybird’s bi-annual, summer camp themed, boutique music festival, Dirtybird Campout, has just announced their lineup for their West Coast edition this year. The lineup features over 50 different artists, with some bigger names than we’re used to seeing on a DBC lineup like: Gorgon City, Chris Lake, and Mark Ronson.

Of course, the Dirtybird crew will be in full force, bringing out the cream of their crop with Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Fisher, Walker & Royce, Shiba San, OMNOM, Catz ‘N Dogz, and more. And as always, there’s a couple wildcards thrown into the mix that you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see at a house music festival. Old school rappers Big Daddy Kane and Slick Rick will be performing this year, which I don't think anyone saw coming.

The festival is to take place from October 5-7, in another brand new location in Northern California: the Modesto Reservoir Campgrounds. Attendees can expect a number of improvements to the festival with the new location, including reservoir water for swimming in, a setting full of shady trees and irrigated land, and a more intimate layout in general.

Check out the full lineup below, and follow this link for more information.
