Dirtybird Releases Lineups For Their Summertime BBQ Events Ft. Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, & More

Barbecue season is in full swing and, right on schedule, Claude VonStroke and his Dirtybird clan has just announced the lineups for their infamous BBQ parties. If you know Dirtybird, then you probably know how special these BBQ events are to each of the founding members. These parties, which started in Golden Gate Park in the early 00’s, were the spark that lit the raging fire that Dirtybird is today.

This year, the eccentric tech-house record label will be sending out their OG crew to throw down the beats in Austin and Oakland, while curating a more unique lineup for their Los Angeles stop. Fans who simply want a pure, original Dirtybird experience should set their sights on either the Bay Area or Texas. If you want to get a little weirder, Los Angeles might be your best option.

Check out the full lineups below, and follow this link to grab tickets and more information. As always, the Dirtybird grillmaster Grill$on will be cooking up some amazing barbecue foods for you to feast on while dancing to some of the best house music this country has to offer.

Barclay Crenshaw Unleashes Dreamy Remix Of Bon Iver’s “715 - CRΣΣKS”

claude vonstroke

Claude VonStroke took the stage at Coachella’s Gobi Tent this past weekend in the form of his experimental bass alter ego Barclay Crenshaw. Although Claude has performed at some of the biggest events in the world, this was his biggest appearance as Barclay Crenshaw so far. To celebrate, Barclay has decided to unleash one of his secret weapons that he’s been utilizing in his live sets, his remix of Bon Iver’s “715 - CRΣΣKS

Bon Iver’s original tune is a brief acapella that features Justin Vernon’s distinguished autotuned voice, a track that most would consider to be an interlude on their full length album 22, A Million. Barclay takes this all the empty space in “715 - CRΣΣKS” and fleshes it out to turn into a full, cohesive track.

It’s not often that remixes can blow original tracks out of the water, but that’s exactly what Barclay Crenshaw accomplished with this new release. In fact, this may even replace Bon Iver’s original tune in our music library completely. Keep up the good work, Barclay. Enjoy!

Dirtybird Announces Their Seasonal Dirtybird BBQ Tour

dirtybird bbq

With warmer weather right around the corner, it’s about that time of the year when Dirtybird announces their summertime BBQ events. This year, the Dirtybird BBQ stops will be taking place in Austin, Oakland (where it all began), and Los Angeles, which was the city that was chosen via the popular fan vote.

If any of these cities are within traveling distance, then you’ll definitely want to gather your flock and catch one of Dirtybird’s infamous BBQs. There’s three crucial components of a Dirtybird BBQ: amazing food (cooked up by the Dirtybird Grillmaster “Grill$on”), the best crowds, and of course, banging tech-house sets from the cream of the Dirtybird crop.

The artists have yet to be announced, but all you have to do is peep the previous BBQ lineups to know that they bring the heat. Last year’s Dirtybird BBQs featured names like Shiba San, Ciszak, Eats Everything, Kill Frenzy, and of course, Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke. This year, we wouldn’t be surprised to see some of Dirtybird’s newer and hotter acts be annouced like Fisher, Walker & Royce, and perhaps ZDS.

Presales for each event will be taking place on Friday, March 23rd at 10:00am PDT. Also, stay tuned for the release of one of their Dirtybird BBQ compilations, which they’ve released for each series of events.

Upcoming Dates:

May 19 - Austin, TX
June 2 - Oakland, CA
July 8 - Los Angeles, CA
