Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird Campout Announces 2017 Festival

Dirtybird Campout 2017

Dirtybird Records, the LA-based label founded by Claude VonStroke, just announced the dates for its third annual ‘Dirtybird Campout’ festival in Oak Canyon Park, California. This year is sure to bring more of the fun and intimate vibes the festival has created the last two years and takes place October 6th-8th. Part music festival and part summer camp, attendees will be splitting their time between seeing their favorite Dirtybird acts on the festival's one stage and participating in group activities like capture the flag. This unique, intimate experience is one you'll want to check out.

While the lineup has yet to be announced, you can expect to see main Dirtybird players like Justin Martin, Shiba San, Kill Frenzy, Justin Jay, along with Claude VonStroke himself of course and many more with a few surprises thrown in. This truly is a one-of-a-kind festival; only here can you buy a slice of pizza from Justin Martin after a game of ultimate frisbee, then follow Reggie Watts around in a golf cart back to your campsite where DJ's have set up an impromptu stage.

We will keep you updated once the lineup is revealed.

A flash sale starts on Saturday, June 17th where you can buy tickets here at the cheapest price before the lineup is announced. Make sure to act quickly if this is on your radar, as it sells out every year with a small capacity. Enjoy!

Claude VonStroke Drops 10-Track Hip-Hop Album Under His Real Name Barclay Crenshaw Ft. Mr. Carmack, The Underachievers, The Cool Kids

Barclay Crenshaw Press Shot

Claude VonStroke and his Dirty Bird has become a powerhouse in the electronic world, but this time around he’s gone in a different direction. He’s just released a hip-hop album as the self-titled debut project under his birth name Barclay Crenshaw

The 10-track project has some great features including contributions from The Cool Kids, Mr. Carmack, The Underachievers and more. Crenshaw explores alien themes on the album as he combines his electronic production abilities with a bass-heavy hip-hop sound. His first release under his real name shows his versatility as a producer as we look forward to hearing more works under from Barclay Crenshaw. Enjoy!

Claude VonStroke is one of the leaders in the American dance world who has also fostered a global presence thanks to flawless live sets at clubs and festivals across the world.

His dirtybird label is responsible for turning out some of the top secret weapons in innumerable Djs sets, but when he steps up to release a single himself it is always something special. His newest single "Make A Cake" has been released as the b-side to his Barrump single and is a gritty, tech house heater. The song is full of just the right details and texture to capture that booty shaking dirtybird sound.

For the video we see the erotic, hilarious adventure of a blow up suit character going on a classic movie-style date with a hot girl. They play mini golf, go go-cart racing, hit the batting cages, and get it on in their parked car. The girl then proceeds to pop the inflatable character with her fingernail which causes him to almost pass out before the girl saves him with some roadskies to cap off the ridiculous video. How could you expect anything less from Claude at this point? Enjoy.
