Daft Punk Member Guy-Manuel Teams Up With French Vocalist Charlotte Gainsbourg On "Rest"

Charlotte Gainsbourg Rest daft Punk

French singer Charlotte Gainsbourg has released a new song “Rest” which was co-written and composed by Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. “Rest” is the title track of Gainsbourg’s upcoming album that is slated to drop November 17th, which will be her first full-length album since her 2010 album IRM.

“Rest” is super ambient, relaxed and switches back and forth between French and English. But, the composition coming from one-half of Daft Punk is what is intriguing to TSIS, as the legendary duo have been relatively active lately. They released a collaborative track with Parcels, worked with Arcade Fire and performed with The Weeknd all this year. And now, they have delivered another incredible collaborative track with Charlotte Gainsbourg… Enjoy!

Stream & Download K?D’s Powerful New Remix Of The Weeknd’s "Starboy" ft. Daft Punk

K?D the weeknd daft punk

Lately, K?D has been picking up speed at a pace that’s almost scary. Although he hasn’t been around for very long, he’s taken the electronic music scene by storm with hard-hitting singles such as "Lose Myself" Feat. Phil Good and his many other independent releases. Today, he’s shared yet another incredible track - a remix of The Weeknd’s “Starboy” ft. Daft Punk.

As unexpected as the pairing of these two artists may be, K?D’s distinctive electronic sound makes for a completely fresh take on The Weeknds hit single. Starting off with distant glitchy pluck, K?D layers The Weeknd’s vocals over a pulsing synth bass and some rich electro drums. The Weeknd’s pitched and distorted voice slowly progresses the song into a powerful drop filled with vibrant rolling synths and energetic percussion. Check out K?D’s remix of “Starboy” below and enjoy!

Listen To Daft Punk Collaborators Parcels' 5-Track 'Hideout' EP

Parcels Daft Punk

A few days ago we heard Daft Punk team up with rising Australian group Parcels on their new track “Overnight” and it sounded amazing. After digging into more of their music we decided to share their recent 5-track Hideout EP.

It makes sense this group would work alongside Daft Punk as their funk-flavored productions shares some similarities with TSIS favorite duo they recently teamed up with. The band brings an electronic influence to their productions while maintaining an organic sound. The relaxing indie release is a feel good EP that flew under our radar but is sounding like something any Daft Punk fan would enjoy. Check out below and enjoy!
