[PREMIERE] Rising Producer Devault Makes TSIS Debut With Dark Single “Don’t You Want To” Via Zeds Dead’s Label

Devault

It’s been roughly a year and a half since Canadian duo Zeds Dead announced the creation of their record label, Deadbeats. The young imprint has been on a tear ever since, signing and premiering artists with impressive sounds across genres. One of the most recent to join the label is Devault, a 21-year-old producer who’s been forging a fresh, future-style signature and drawing increased attention over the past year. Today we’re excited to be premiering the artist’s debut track with Deadbeats, “Don’t You Want To.”

Although he hasn’t been in the game long, Devault shows talent and production skills beyond his years with this release. “Don’t You Want To” is both sensual and sinister, with the two feels of the track blending throughout. He takes his time building the various dark elements of the track that pair well with haunting vocals throughout the intro. This nice build leads into a surprisingly high-energy drop, with a prominent synth pattern and chopped up vocals taking center stage. Altogether, “Don’t You Want To” is the perfect fit for Deadbeats, and we’re looking forward to seeing how Devault grows from here. Check it out below and enjoy!

Zeds Dead Drop Lollapalooza 2017 Live Set For Deadbeats Radio Episode 8

Zeds Dead Lolla

Zeds Dead absolutely destroyed with their set at Lollapalooza and for those who couldn’t be there to witness it, they’ve released the last hour of their set as a special edition of Deadbeats Radio for Episode 8. Spanning dubstep, drum and bass, trap, house, and more this mix covers pretty much everything and includes a ton of music from Zeds Dead.

Zeds Dead start the mix off with their future house collaboration with Oliver Heldens, “You Know,” and mix it into Skrillex and Habstrakt’s recent track “Chicken Soup.” Things pick up as they drop crowd favorite “Collapse” and mix in a series of dubstep bangers from artists such as Borgore and Trampa. Zeds Dead raise the tempo for a drum and bass section, which includes their tune “Me No Care.” They bring Lollapalooza founder and Jane’s Addiction lead singer Perry Farrell on stage to sing live on their track “Blink” and end with their recent collaboration with Illenium “Where The Wild Things Are.”

In true Zeds Dead fashion, they also make sure to throw in some classic dance and hip-hop tracks on the way. There are too many good tunes to name here, so these are just some that stood out to us. Check out Deadbeats Radio Episode 8 below, and hear for yourself. Enjoy!

Zeds Dead Drop New Mix For ‘DEADBEATS RADIO' Episode 2

Zeds Dead Deatbeats Radio

Zeds Dead have been on fire this summer, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. The duo just celebrated a successful fourth annual Dead Rocks event, where they teased a masterful new collaboration with Illenium, much to the excitement of attendees. Just prior to this they announced a massive tour that will bring a music festival-caliber level of artists around the country with them, with the lineup varying based on the city. Today Zeds Dead have kept their momentum with DEADBEATS RADIO #002, the second edition of Deadbeats’s radio show, which aired yesterday on SiriusXM’s Electric Area Channel.

The show was once again hosted by Zeds Dead themselves, with the duo taking listeners on an hour-long journey of both heavy and chill tracks. The two weave in a handful of their own songs, such as their remix of “Slow Down,” but mostly keep the attention on various other producers’ releases, like Feed Me’s epic remix of deadmau5’s “Strobe” and Boombox Cartel’s single “Jefe.” Altogether the mix is an impressive collection of popular songs, throwbacks and some lesser known material. Check it out below and enjoy!
