All My Friends Music Festival Shares Inaugural 2018 Lineup Ft. RL Grime, Jaime xx, Barclay Crenshaw & More

If you’ve been following TSIS for the past few months, you know that Gary Richards (Destructo) has been having quite an interesting year. After having the chance to sit down with the house-legend / promotor a few months ago to talk about his new AMF brand, today we’re excited to share that Richards’ brand new All My Friends Music Festival has just dropped their inaugural lineup.

After parting ways with Live Nation and Hard Events in August of last year, we never would’ve guessed that not only would Richards join forces with LiveStyle, Inc., but go on to create a brand new festival and cruise in six months. Today we’ve seen that the All My Friends mantra runs deep with Richards, as for the festival's inaugural two-day event, we’ll be seeing performances from RL Grime, Gucci Mane, Jhene Aiko, Smokepurpp, M.I.A., Jamie xx, Armand Van Helden, Yo Gotti, Anna Lunoe and of course, Destructo himself. Check out the fests hilarious official trailer below and make sure to grab tickets to the fest here. Enjoy!

Gary Richards’s New Brand AMF Announces All My Friends Music Festival Dates & Location

Hype continues to build around Gary Richards’ (Destructo) new brand, AMF. Just last month Gary and AMF sold out their new festival cruise, Friendship, in what seemed like seconds. In the spirit of keeping the ball rolling, it was officially announced today that All My Friends Music Festival (which was discussed in our interview with him back in February), will be taking place in downtown Los Angeles on August 18 and 19.

It’s clear that Richards is pulling out all the stops for this fresh new brand. The dance music mogul managed to score an epic location for the festival, ROW DTLA. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, ROW DTLA is large creative space with an industrial backdrop of LA’s former major produce market that is updated with gardens, shady trees and plazas, which will make for a unique spot for a city music festival.

There has not been a lineup announcement just yet, but prepare for a bill full of the hottest names in R&B, Hip-Hop, and of course, electronic dance music. Per their press release, the lineup should be out within “the coming weeks.”

With AMF’s first two events being an east coast festival cruise and a two-day music festival in Los Angeles, it’s clear that Gary Richards is buckling down to compete with his former brand, HARD Events (Holy Ship, HARD Summer). If we learned anything so far about this new competition, it’s that Richards’ loyal fanbase believes in his vision and direction for AMF, and that we can expect something even bigger and better than HARD Summer for All My Friends Music Festival.

EXCLUSIVE: Gary Richards (Destructo) Reveals Details On AMF Brand, New Festivals & More In Interview

Gary Richards interview

Gary Richards is well known throughout the electronic music community as one of the most influential people in the industry. From curating some of the best lineups on the festival circuit, to (creating/starting) some of the most coveted events we’ve ever seen.

Just a few months back it was revealed that Gary would no longer be working with HARD, the company he founded and ran for over 10 years. This understandably left fans a bit uneasy and confused about what he would be up to next. It was announced soon after his departure from HARD that Richards would be assuming the role of president of LiveStyle North America, a company vastly larger than his previous one.

With many more resources now at his fingertips, fans began to speculate what Gary’s next move would be. He eventually started to tease and build up hype for some new company, event, or something else called AMF, short for All My Friends. We once thought this may have been his new cruise ship festival that would rival Holy Ship!, but that theory was debunked when he officially revealed Friendship a month ago (which looks epic, by the way).

However, this still left everyone wondering what AMF ultimately was. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Gary Richards for a one-on-one intimate interview shot in our office here in Denver, where he discusses what’s happening with AMF, Friendship, as well as some music collaborations he’s been working on as Destructo.
