Party Favor & Dillon Francis - Shut It Down : Massive Moombahton / Trap Collaboration

Party Favor x Dillon Francis

Los Angeles DJ/producer Party Favor teased fans a few weeks ago with the release of his single, "Give It To Me Twice" feat. Sean Kingston and Rich The Kid, off his Party & Destroy EP and now unveils the project in its entirety. The EP involves several other notable collaborators including Dillon Francis who joins Party Favor on "Shut It Down".

The energetic track is ripe for festival play, primarily pulling elements from moombahton and trap. While Dillon Francis has been actively pushing moombah to the forefront of dance music for several years now, this is Party Favor's first go with the style. He says the following:

It was honestly such a trip working with Dillon Francis. I have been a fan of his for song long. The song took about a year to finish because both of our schedules were so hectic but once we got a chance to sit down together it was really fun. He is a extremely talented producer and we worked well together so it was easy.  Making moombah was a fun challenge for me since I'd never done it before. Fun fact: Dillon also talks to imaginary people. He was doing it the whole time we were working. He needs help...

Stream "Shut It Down" below and be sure to take a listen to the rest of the Party & Destroy EP which includes features by Gucci Mane, Georgia Ku and more. Enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Dillon Francis & NGHTMRE's "Need You" Gets A Grimy Trap Remix From Champagne Drip

Dillon Francis | NGHTMRE

Dillon Francis & NGHTMRE flipped the blogs upside down earlier this year with the release of their collaborative single, "Need You". It was only a matter of time until the remixes started piling in. Today, we are lucky enough to premiere a very imaginative take on the track.

It's done by blossoming future bass producer Champagne Drip who's been known for more laid-back productions, like we saw with "Bubble Reef" off his Journey Into The Champagne Sea EP.

He switches things up on his latest cut involving high-pitch gaming samples, spacey risers and a gritty, treble-heavy lead that somehow meshes together in a wildly creative, yet fluid, composition. Stream Champagne Drip's remix below. Enjoy!

[EXCLUSIVE] Some Of Your Favorite DJs Are In Love With Pokemon Go

Dj Pokemon Go

It's safe to say that Pokémon has once again taken over the world, this time, in a semi-literal sense. On July 6, the mega-franchise released Pokémon Go, a freemium mobile game that allows users to capture, train and battle virtual Pokémon in the real world. The game's popularity has blown up since going live and has several dance music artists hooked.

Snails exclaims,

"Pokemon Go is the best thing since electricity!"

Jauz says Pokémon Go is

"pretty much the coolest app to ever come out for DJ's, or anyone who travels a lot." He continues, "For us producers/DJs specifically, it's pretty amazing because a) 90% of us grew up as nerds with an affinity for all things Pokémon and b) we travel the world on a daily basis so the fact that there's something new and different in every single city we travel to makes it that much more motivating to get out & explore."

and adds a recent story with the game

"I was in Europe as the app came out and I have done 100% more walking around the cities I'm in than I would have without it. I was in London with Dillon Francis for 2 days after EDC UK and we walked like the entire city because both of us are so addicted to the game. I really hope it keeps the momentum it has right now because I think this game has the ability to really make a positive impact on kids lives by getting them out of the house and walking around all the time. It's not a full on exercise, but it's definitely a step in the right direction."

Dillon Francis adds,

"The game is pretty amazing for how simple it is and the nostalgia I get from it is crazy...I grew up playing the Red and Blue version so of course I love this. People can hate on the game as much as you want but the fact of the matter is it's amazing that it's getting people to go out and explore new places...I found new clothing stores in London because of the game and now know the geography better because of walking around playing...all I want now is P2P fighting and I'll probably have no life anymore. RIP my music if that happens haha."
