Diplo Teams With Viceland & James Van Der Beek On New Comedy TV Show “What Would Diplo Do?"

Diplo James Van Der Beek

You may remember a hilarious Mad Decent Block Party promo video in which James Van Der Beek played Diplo in a "Day In The Life of Diplo" skit (below). According to Deadline, Viceland has now taken the hilarious skit to the next level with an entire TV show titled "What Would Diplo Do?" (working title).

Viceland has become one of our favorite TV channels with their edgy, documentary-styled programs like Action Bronson's Fuck That’s Delicious and Traveling The Stars: Action Bronson And Friends Watch And Friends Watch Ancient Aliens. However, Viceland has yet to have a scripted series up until this point. This Diplo program will be the first scripted series on the network.

Diplo and Van Der Beek will serve as the show's executive producers with Van Der Beek also starring / writing the comedy series. It's been described as “Louie meets WorldStar HipHop crossed with This Is Spinal Tap”. The show is expected to launch later in 2017. Enjoy!

Jauz & Diplo Team Up On Refreshing Melodic House Remix For MO’s "Final Song"

diplo jauz

Ever wonder what a Diplo and Jauz collab would sound like? Seemingly out of nowhere, the two just dropped a massive remix of MO's summer single, "Final Song", and we can't stop playing it. To our surprise, it's not a hard-hitting banger but still packs enough punch to keep you dancing until the very end.

The remix kicks off with an airy flute melody and a guitar progression that are soon layered with MO's chanting vocals. Rather than having the production snowball into a high-intensity build swarmed by quick drum hits,  Diplo and Jauz keep listeners in suspense with a playful and catchy xylophone melody. When the chorus hits, percussive clucks and additional chants enter from the side, tying the whole sequence together. A pleasant surprise on this Monday afternoon!

Stream the remix below and enjoy!
