DJ Snake Shares Powerful, Energetic New Single “Magenta Riddim”

Dj snake Magenta riddim

When DJ Snake drops a song, you never know what you’re gonna get. From his recent, groovy single “Broken Summer” to hard hitting hip-hop production such as “Oh Me Oh My” and even hardstyle-inspired bangers like his and Yellow Claw’s “Ocho Cinco”, the man has defied genres time and time again. But today, the French-phenomenon has returned to a unique baile-inspired sound with the release of his brand new single “Magenta Riddim”.

Although we still have quite some time before festival season starts, it seems as though DJ Snake is getting his set tools ready early with this latest offering. Starting off fast with some energetic percussion and some vocal chops akin to that of the chorus on “A Different Way”, the track offers a minimal intro before immediately transitioning into a powerful moombahton-esque drop, driven by shrill, rising synths, vibrant Arabic-inspired instrumentation and a booming kick drum. Check out “Magenta Riddim” below and enjoy!

Ultra Music Festival Announces 2018 Lineup Ft. Virtual Self, Flosstradamus, DJ Snake, RL Grime & More

Ultra Music Festival 2018

Ultra Music Festival is perhaps the most well known electronic event in the world. Located annually at the scenic Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida, this stacked 3-day gathering consistently brings both veterans to the industry and the most exciting new acts to hit the scene each year.

This year Ultra will celebrate its 20th anniversary, and the festival just dropped one of its craziest lineups yet. As always, the lineup features genres from across the board. Headliners include names like Armin Van Buuren, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, Flosstradamus, Kaskade, Marshmello, RL Grime and many more, with artists Empire of the Sun, Tchami x Malaa, Infected Mushroom and more performing live.

Perhaps most exciting about the lineup, however, is Virtual Self – the explosive new project from Porter Robinson that’s taken the country by storm since its launch in October. So far, this will be Virtual Self’s second festival performance ever, with the first taking place at Buku in New Orleans. Tchami and Malaa will also be in the mix for their insane b2b live ‘No Redemption’ performance.

As for supporting acts, they are just as vibrant as the headliners. Artists like REZZ, San Holo, What So Not, GTA, Ghastly, JOYRYDE, Kayzo, NGHTMRE x Slander, Ookay and many, many more will also bring their talents to Miami on March 23, 24 and 25 of 2018. Find tickets here and check out the full lineup above & below. Enjoy!

Kayzo Drops Wild Dubstep Remix Of DJ Snake’s “A Different Way” Feat. Lauv

Kayzo DJ Snake

Los Angeles-based producer Kayzo is back today with yet another bass-infused release. This young artist has consistently caught our ears throughout 2017 with his unabashedly heavy signature, sharing wild releases like “WHISTLE WARS” and taking risks on slower tracks like “Without You” with Slander. For today’s remix he took on one of DJ Snake’s biggest releases of the year, “A Different Way” featuring Lauv. Needless to say, Kayzo gave this one the bass-fueled treatment we never knew it needed.

For those not familiar with Kayzo, the lead-in of this remix would probably trick you into thinking he flipped “A Different Way” into a more relaxed track. The first 30 or so seconds are subtle with chill guitar chords and steadily building percussion. This dives into a downright filthy drop that only Kayzo could pull off, with relentless pulsing bass and a raucous kick. The stark juxtaposition between the drop and the intro/bridge was a well-played move, making the mood of each stand out even more. Check out the remix below and enjoy!
