EDC Las Vegas Shares 2018 Lineup Via Live Video Ft. Zeds Dead, REZZ, San Holo, Illenium & More

EDC Las Vegas Lineup 2018

EDC Las Vegas is something electronic music fans look forward to each and every year as it's one of biggest festivals in the world. EDC is bringing 8 themed stages with over 200 artists, thousands of costumed performers and many art installations. The festival brings in over 100,000 people daily to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway year after year and this time they’re revamping some of the INSANE stages to be even bigger and better. This year they're extending the hours of the festival and also adding camping.

They have stages for every type of music lover from bass music to trance to everything in between with stages including the Bass Pod, Wasteland, Circuit Grounds, Quantum Valley, Insomniac Records, Neon Garden, Cosmic Meadow (hosted by HARD), and the largest stage yet Kinetic Field.

This year they did things a little different this year having Insomniac’s Pasquale Rotella hosting a Facebook Live feed as a special edition of Night Owl Radio playing each artist one by one letting fans test their ears commenting who they hear. They'll be posting the full lineup tomorrow but until then we figured we share some of our favorite artists we heard including Zeds Dead, Illenium, REZZ, Snails, San Holo, Ekali, Malaa, Seven Lions, Khalid, Getter, Diplo, Kaskade, Fisher, Will Clarke, Slander, Mike Will Made-It, and many more.

Edit: the full lineup is out now see above!

Stream EDC Las Vegas 2017 Sets From Porter Robinson, Dillon Francis, Louis The Child, Jauz, Mr. Carmack, San Holo & More

Porter Robinson Louis The Child Dillon Francis

Despite record-breaking temperatures, 2017’s much-anticipated EDC Vegas run was once again a success. The massive event has drawn over 100,000 people a day to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for years now, and 2017 was no different. The stage design was impressively over the top, the production was stellar and, most importantly, the music was great. About half of the sets were uploaded to SoundCloud over the weekend, featuring a host of performances from artists across the board.

As for our favorites over at TSIS, Friday night saw a special b2b set featuring Audien and 3LAU, two producers with a similar signature vibe that came together seamlessly onstage. The two kept it interesting, switching between heavy originals like SAYMYNAME’s “Turn Up Da Bass” and lighter, euphoric tracks like Audien’s “One More Weekend.” San Holo’s Friday night set also impressed, tying in hip-hop and rap remixes with various euphoric originals to create a truly captivating performance.

On Saturday the always unique Mr. Carmack switched things up with a tastefully experimental set, pulling the crowd in with light, atmospheric synths before taking things deeper and deeper throughout the rest of his performance. Never one to conform to the status quo, the artist provided an interesting departure from some of the other producers in the mix.

Sunday also saw an insane b2b performance, this time from bass powerhouses Jauz, Diplo and Alison Wonderland. The set was infectiously heavy from the first note, starting strong with an intense trap remix of Skrillex and Habstrakt’s popular single “Chicken Soup” and keeping the energy high from there.

Although these were some of our favorites, EDC had something for everyone this year. Check out the sets below and enjoy!

Megalodon Drops Massive Remix Of GRiZ’s “Wicked"

Griz Megladon

With a name like Megalodon, it comes as no surprise that the Los Angeles-based producer has made a name for himself making heavy, bass-fueled tracks over the past couple of years. The artist made an appearance on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats Compilation 1 and has teamed up with JAUZ to create a massive future house/dubstep track titled “Shark Attack.” Today we’re excited to be premiering Megalodon’s latest release, a massive remix of GRiZ’s “Wicked.”

Megalodon’s take on “Wicked” preserves the jazz-influence of the track, maintaining the brassy horns that introduce the song. Instead of the more laid-back, funky drop that GRiZ fans may be used to, however, this remix absolutely takes it to the next level production-wise. Megalodon incorporates a pounding bassline and one of the best uses of video game-like synths that we’ve heard. The bass builds upon itself throughout the track, taking the production to newer, more powerful and more intense heights with each passing second.

This premiere is part of a massive release: It joins 39 other songs to create a 40-track EDC Las Vegas 2017 Compilation launched today by Insomniac Records. The offering is designed to give fans a glimpse of what they’ll see at EDC in 2017.

"I took a step away from my normal routine on this remix. Since the original had such a prominent melody I felt that I needed to focus more on melodic side to due the remix justice. That being said I'm quite happy with how things turned out. I have been closing all of my sets on tour with this remix for a while now and the crowd reactions have been amazing. - Megalodon

The compilation features songs spanning genres of all kinds, including Slander and Basstrick’s massive trap/bass house collaboration “Drop It,” NGHTMRE and Ghastly’s collaboration “End Of The Night,” and much, much more. Stream the “Wicked” remix below and enjoy!
