Louis The Child & Whethan Collaborator Elohim Continues To Impress On Uplifting New Original "Fuck Your Money"

Elohim fuck your money

Elohim’s voice has become immediately recognizable in the electronic music world. From her features with Louis The Child and Whethan, to her originals, the enigmatic artist continues to push incredible music regardless of genre. Today, the LA-based artist has added to her continuously growing discography with a brand new, upbeat single titled “Fuck Your Money”.

It’s apparent the Elohim put a lot of work into this latest offering. Starting off slow with some warbling vocal chops and soft percussion, Elohim’s expressive voice quickly progresses the track into an energetic drop filled with bright, vibrant bells, a bouncy bassline and some lighthearted synths that would make Louis The Child proud. Featuring lyrics with an apparent and intentional message, Elohim took to social media to give a bit of context to her new single.

“I grew up with very little money. My parents put all of their focus on our well being; learning the joy of music, feeding us organic food, and living a life full of LOVE. A couple months ago I was on my way home from the gym and I decided to drive past my childhood home where I grew up. I started singing ‘I got love fuck your money’ out loud and it all came back to me.” -Elohim (via Twitter)

Whethan And Elohim Team Up On Laid-Back New Single “Sleepy Eyes”

Whethan has been on a roll as of late with some incredible releases. Earlier this year the Chicago-based producer dropped the catchy single “love gang” (feat. Charli XCX) before releasing his latest track, “Good Nights” (feat. Mascolo). Today, we’re happy to share yet another incredible Whethan collaboration, this time with LA-based artist Elohim, titled “Sleepy Eyes”.

Although Whethan has remixed Elohim in the past, “Sleepy Eyes” makes for the first time the two have officially collaborated. Starting off with a warm plucked melody, Elohim’s soft, delicate voice (which listeners may recognize from Louis The Child’s "Love Is Alive") quickly rolls in, giving the track a warm, emotional vibe. Some gentle percussion and a crisp horn slowly progresses the song forward into a chill drop filled with distant vocal chops and a pulsing bassline, perfect for summer. Check out Elohim & Whethan’s “Sleepy Eyes below and enjoy!
