Watch Eric Prydz Unveil His Mind Blowing New Holographic Stage Production “HOLO”

Eric Prydz is known for having some of the most creative and elaborate stage productions in electronic music. When he teased a new visual concept called “HOLO” earlier this year, fans everywhere began to drool over what looked like to be one of the most extraordinary productions anyone has ever used before.

After months of anticipation, fans in Glasgow, Scotland were able to be the first to witness the new HOLO show in all of its glory, and the reception so far has been a unanimous “wow.” Simply searching #HOLO on twitter will yield a handful of videos taken by those in attendance, giving the rest of us a peek into the mind-blowing visuals that Eric Prydz will be using this year.

According to his own website, there are only two other HOLO shows that Prydz has scheduled for the rest of the year so far, one in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and an appearance Creamfields in Daresbury, England. Not the greatest news for those of us who live stateside, but hopefully Prydz will come overseas and bless North America with this amazing new production at some point in the future.

We picked out some of the best videos that fans have been posting since HOLO's debut, so check them out below. Enjoy!

Eric Prydz Returns As Pryda To Share New 4-Track Elements EP

eric prydz

House-music legend Eric Prydz has really been keeping us all on our toes lately. Having released music under 12+ separate monikers over a career spanning nearly two decades, at this point it’s becoming hard to tell whether or not he’s a robot… But as we recently saw with the revival of Tonja Holma, it seems Prydz has been reaching to the past to shape his future - today returning yet again as Pryda to share a brand new EP, Elements.

This latest offering perfectly exemplifies, to its core, the dynamic progressive house sound that Eric Prydz has been expertly shaping since the beginning. Characterized by lush, pulsing synths, eerie mechanical sound design, vibrant soundscapes and powerful percussion all atop a traditional thumping 4/4 kick, we couldn’t have asked for a better addition to Pryda’s incredible discography. Although it’s only been since the end of 2017 since we last heard from Pryda with the single “Stay With Me”, seeing as it’s been over three years since the last EP under this name, we can’t help but wonder what else Eric Prydz has been keeping under wraps. Check out Elements below and make sure to keep an eye on Prydz in the near future, as we will definitely be doing the same. Enjoy!

Watch Eric Prydz Tease Cinematic New Holographic Stage Setup 'HOLO’ With Incredible Video

Eric Prydz Holo stage setup

In May of last year, Eric Prydz took to the stage in London’s Victoria Park for one of the most-anticipated sets of his career so far. The performance that followed was a jawdropping journey from start to finish with pulsing neon lasers, LED screens and stunningly realistic holograms that transported the crowd from London to outer space and beyond.

This was Eric Prydz’s EPIC 5.0 setup, the next step of the producer’s live show series that began back in 2011. The stage setups of these performances are arguably the best in the business, and in 2016 they topped our list of best stage productions of the year by a landslide.

After selling out Victoria Park with EPIC 5.0, Eric Prydz finally announced the next step of this unbelievable series: HOLO. In a short teaser video that the artist posted to his Facebook page, viewers are slowly transported through a series of holographic scenes with both warm amber and cool blue hues contrasting throughout. Three show announcements accompany the video in Glawsgow, Belfast and Daresbury, with more concert announcements to come. Check out the must-see video below and enjoy!
