Eric Prydz Revives Old Alias Tonja Holma To Release New 4-Track ‘TONJA’ EP

Eric Prydz Tonja EP

Although the names Cirez D, Pryda and Sheridan may not ring a bell, chances are Eric Prydz is someone you’ve heard of. With a career spanning almost two decades under a dozen aliases, today it seems Prydz has taken a trip back in time to revive one project in particular - Tonja Holma.

Tonja Holma, a moniker that Prydz had only released a handful of tracks under in the past, has officially returned from the dead today with this latest offering, the self titled EP, TONJA. Prydz had teased new music under this old alias back in May, with the launch of his imprint Pryda Presents, but had since given little information about the release till announcing it last week via Instagram. This 4-track EP combines the retro-trance house sound we’ve come to love from Prydz with some funky acoustic/electronic elements to create a vibe all its own. Eric Prydz Epic 5.0

Just before Halloween last year, Eric Prydz performed a set as the “Up All Night” guest on Insomniac Events’ Night Owl Radio where he let listeners know that he and his team were “currently working crazy on Epic 5.0” and that it was “going to blow your head off.” Finally on Saturday (May 27), Eric Prydz unveiled his EPIC 5.0 setup at Victoria Park in London and it was all caught on video by one extremely dedicated fan.

For those unfamiliar with EPIC (E.P.I.C being an acronym for “Eric Prydz In Concert”), it’s a live show series that was started by the Swedish producer/DJ in 2011. EPIC is undoubtedly one of the most intricate and stunning live show setups to date. Filled with transparent LED screens, bright lasers and hologram technology, Eric Prydz’ EPIC easily topped our list of Top Electronic & Hip-Hop Stage Productions Of 2016

As a performer, Eric Prydz has always treated his visuals as “an extension of the music”, which he makes apparent in his latest installment of his live show series. Check out his almost inconceivable EPIC 5.0 in full HD below and enjoy!
