GRiZ Announces 2-Day Headline Red Rocks Shows + Live Band Debut

GRiZ Red Rocks 2017

GRiZ has just shares some epic news about his upcoming Red Rocks shows this year. Not only will GRiZ be performing two nights of Red Rocks, but night one will also be the debut of GRiZ Live Band!

We’ve been following GRiZ for years and taking the step to performing as a live band is the natural progression as his shows have already incorporated live sax and guitar. GRiZ has already played the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre twice and we can’t wait for him to return Sep. 1 & 2 this year. While he hasn’t announced who will play as part of GRiZ live band, it’s safe to say he’ll put together a solid cast of musicians to play alongside. Stay tuned for the full lineup and more info. Check out the teaser video for this year’s shows below as well as last year’s aftermovie. Enjoy!

Watch Gorillaz Perform New Music From 'Humanz' Album At London Concert

gorillaz london show

It's been a crazy week for Gorillaz fans. A couple days ago, the band decided to drop a ton of music and news all at once. They announced their upcoming album, Humanz, revealed its expected release date, April 28, and shared the project's album art (see above). In addition, they shared four new songs off the LP and went live with a pre-order link that shows the album's full tracklist.

On top of it all, the group then announced a secret show in London that went down yesterday (March 24) where they played music off the album and we now have footage of the live performance. Gorillaz packed out a venue in London and decided to live stream a few parts of the show. This is the first time the band has performed live in seven years.

They also brought out a ton of special guests who are featured on the LP including Pusha T, Danny Brown, De La Soul, Kelela, Noel Gallagher (of Oasis), Del the Funky Homosapien, Kali Uchis, Zebra Katz, Jehnny Beth and Benjamin Clementine. You can watch the Facebook Live videos, in addition to a fan-made video of them playing out their new track "Momentz", below. Enjoy!
