Mr. Carmack Drops Experimental Trap Remix Of 21 Savage & Montell2099's "Hunnid On The Drop"

Carmack 21 Savage

There’s just no stopping Mr. Carmack. He’s been on a spree of releases and shows no signs of slowing down with yet another remix. This time around he’s taken on 21 Savage & Montell2099’s collab “Hunnid On The Drop.

Carmack just recently put out remixes of Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow,” Chromeo’s “Fancy Footwork,” and an original track sampling both Rick James and Daniel Caesar. Just about everything Carmack touches is gold and this has us hoping he has even more gems for us on the way. This man’s recent output is nearly unmatched and the quality of each release has yet to diminish as a result. He goes an experimental route on this blending hip-hop and electronic influences with his forward-thinking sound design keeping you on your toes. Enjoy!

Newcomer Artist Jaja Bu Impresses On Debut Genre-Blending Single "Sweetness"

jaja bu sweetness

Whenever we come across a debut track from a new artist it’s always a total wildcard and every once in a while we are blown away from the beginning of an artist's project. When we were sent over Jaja Bu’s first release “Sweetness,” it’s safe to say we were pleasantly surprised with what we heard.

The incredibly talented producer and vocalist is currently living in L.A. after growing up in New Jersey and spending time in Brooklyn fine-tuning his unique sound. He grew up as a drummer and this is evident in his productions that take a genre-blending approach combining slow-rolling synths and non-conventional percussion with gentle guitar licks laying the foundation for his indie R&B vocals to shine. Stay tuned for more from this new talent and enjoy!

Mija & Vindata's "Better" Receives Impressive Remix From Electric Mantis

Mija Electric Mantis

About a year ago, genre-defiant producer Mija and Los Angeles-based duo Vindata teamed up on a huge future bass single titled, "Better". Since the release, we’ve seen a few official and unofficial remixes surface, but none were quite like the one that Electric Mantis dropped today.

Electric Mantis took Mija & Vindata’s banger of a track, stripped it down to its bones and made it his own in this energetic remix. While keeping a few elements from the original intact, Electric Mantis layers atmospheric synths and distant percussion in with Mija’s chopped up vocals. Bright flutes and skittering drums layer in and out on top of a powerful bass during the drop.

Electric Mantis’ unique sound design is always exemplified in his releases, especially his most recent release “FACED” we had the pleasure of premiering. Check out Electric Mantis’ remix of Mija & Vindata’s “Better” below and enjoy!
