Colorado's Potential Major Music Festival Takes Step In Right Direction

Colorado Festival

More details about a potential, Coachella-like, festival in Colorado have surfaced, and Denver residents are becoming increasingly excited. Bonnaroo’s and Outside Lands’ promotion company, Superfly, has verified that the city of Denver is the preferred home to their potential project.

This was announced after the City Of Denver’s Special Event Office expressed interest in hosting the festival at the Overland Park Golf Course, which is located four miles south of the downtown area. Initial talks of the festival suggested that there was a possibility it would take place in Denver’s northern suburb, Westminster. Superfly has discontinued that possibility and it's now up the promoters and the City of Denver to agree on a contract and then be voted on by City Council.

Additionally, Superfly was originally partnered with AEG, another dominant festival production company. However, AEG has made a statement declaring that they will no longer participate in the creation of the festival, meaning it is solely constructed by Superfly. The festival organizers have proposed that it be a three-day festival housing 30,000-60,000 attendees per day, starting in 2018. We're hoping this means Denver will finally have a major music festival down the road. Enjoy!

[EXCLUSIVE] Pretty Lights Announces Epic 2-Day Mini Festival At The Gorge

Pretty Lights Live - The Gorge

Pretty Lights has secured himself amongst the electronic festival elite, headlining just about every festival in North America. He has such a dedicated fanbase that travels to see him play that he has recently begun throwing his own mini festivals which he first launched with the Episodic journey last fall with 5 stops across the US.

Well today TSIS has the exclusive scoop on the next chapter in his live journey. He has set his sights on The Gorge, an iconic venue just a few hours outside of Seattle. It's home to multi-genre festival Sasquatch and electronic festival Magnifique who had their inaugural edition last year. The Gorge has had various touring legends like Phish, Dave Matthews and Foo Fighters headline in the past. It does not typically host electronic headliners so Pretty Lights is breaking down some serious barriers here. The Gorge undoubtedly one of the most beautiful venues in the world and there couldn't be a better location for Pretty Lights to host this epic event.

The two-day event will take place from Aug. 4-5 and feature Atmosphere, STS9 Tipper, Lettuce, Cherub, Manic Focus, Chali 2na, Kasbo, Marvel Years and Maddy O'Neal. We'll definitely be making the trip out for this one. Exclusive fan pre-sale tickets will be available on Monday (Apr. 3) at 12pm PST. Enjoy!
