PREMIERE | Rising NYC Producer Opvs Impresses With Party-Ready Flip Of "Body Language" By Kali Uchis

opvs kali cover art v2

Need some new Kaytranada vibes in your life? Well, NYC-based producer Opvs has you covered for now. The rising artist took the intro track “Body Language” off Kali Uchis’s incredible debut album and flipped it into a funky dancefloor groove that’s ready for summer.

Opvs has been featured on the site once before with the premiere of his stunning remix of Post Malone’s “Too Young” with G.KNOW, but this latest release shows an impressive step forward in his production ability. Subtle shakers and crisp snares slowly lead the listener to a drop marked by bouncing bass and shuffling percussion. As Kali’s chopped vocals echo in your headphones Opvs keeps the instrumental intriguing with a mix of unique synths that sound like anything from a raindrop to a dial tone.

If this track hit the spot you can catch Opvs playing alongside josh pan at the Mercury Lounge this Saturday night in Manhattan. Grab tickets here and stream the song below. Enjoy!

Louis Futon Drops Amazing Remix Of Frank Ocean's "Solo" With Production Tutorial Video

Louis Futon Solo Flip

Louis Futon is back with another beat challenge, and takes on Frank Ocean’s “Solo” this time! The talented producer recently impressed us with a flip of Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” and is back with a full video that shows a step-by-step process of how he created his new remix.

Louis was inspired while in the middle of his tour and decided to ask fans recommendations for songs to sample and got an amazing response. The choice of sample is perfect as he builds an entire track around it using piano, guitar, bass and drums before having a “really dope trumpet player” add a little more flavor to the track. The end result is sounding amazing. We’re really loving these beat challenge videos Louis Futon has been putting out and can’t wait to see what he takes on next. Be sure to see him on his current tour - see dates below. Enjoy!

Skrillex & Diplo - Where Are Ü Now with Justin Bieber (Marshmello Remix)[Skrillex Flip]

Skrillex & Diplo - Where Are Ü Now with Justin Bieber (Marshmello Remix)[Skrillex Flip] - Featured Image

Earlier this year Skrillex and Diplo surprised the world linking up with Justin Bieber for an unlikely collaboration on "Where Are Ü Now." The track would go on to be a huge success receiving praise from both the underground and the mainstream, effectively sky rocketing Diplo and Skrillex's careers to a whole new level. A few months after the song dropped a remix EP came along featuring some impressive artists including Kaskade, Rustie, Ember Island, and 2015 mysterious new comer Marshmello. Of the remixes Marshmello's stood out as perhaps the best garnering hype around his mysterious persona and seeing massive support from Skrillex and Diplo in their sets.

In recent months we have heard Skrillex dropping a unique version of Marshmello's remix during his sets, replacing the melodic drop with a heavy wonky trap drop. Many speculated as to who's version of the song this was, suggesting it may be a Marshmello VIP. However, today we get a surprise drop from the man himself Skrillex, as it is revealed that in fact it is his "Flip" of the song! Stream below and enjoy
