What So Not George Maple

Australian artists What So Not and George Maple have crossed paths more than once over the past few years. Teaming up on incredible collaborations “Gemini” and “Buried”, today, they’ve reunited once again for a brand new track titled “Hold Me by the Waist”.

This latest offering comes as part of George Maple’s debut album, Lover, which dropped today. Featuring wispy electronic production from What So Not, George Maple’s gentle voice slowly progresses the track in and out of slow, atmospheric versus and powerful, synth filled drops. What So Not & George Maple Share Incredible Video for New Single, "Buried" Ft. Rome Fortune

WSN George Maple

What So Not and George Maple have partnered up to release their brand new single, "Buried" featuring hip-hop recording artist Rome Fortune. The song and its visual counterpart dropped simultaneously, mirroring the birthing process of each creation.

"'Buried'" is a commentary on the sadness of a superficial existence," says Emoh (What So Not) and George. "We're all guilty of our vices. Whether a flickering thought or a lifestyle, our obsession with fame, money, sex & power drives a paradox of wonderful & horrible behavior."

The production's luscious sound design boasts rich vocals, body-based percussion and airy synths that emanate a majestic aura. "We recorded everywhere from Sydney to Atlanta to London," they say. Fans of Emoh and George know that this is not their first rodeo together. The two previously collaborated on "Gemini" and most recently, "Ghost," with Baauer.
