ODESZA Announce Their All-Inclusive Mexico Festival SUNDARA FT. RÜFÜS DU SOL, RL Grime, Alison Wonderland & More

Sundara odesza

ODESZA has become larger than life over the past few years. From starting their Foreign Family Collective in 2015 up to dropping their immaculate, 16-track album A Moment Apart, the duo has continued to sell out enormous venues across the globe. Now, as the next milestone on their incredible journey, ODESZA has announced their very own festival, SUNDARA.

Taking place in Riviera Maya in Mexico, while ODESZA will be adding to a long history of iconic performances from Phish, Dead & Company, Dave Matthews Band and more, the duo will be following Bassnectar's DEJA VOOM as one of the first electronic festivals to take place at this venue. With a stacked lineup featuring performances from Bob Moses, Jai Wolf, Tokimonsta, Kasbo, Golden Features, Pluko & many more, SUNDARA is set to be a three day festival the likes of we’ve never seen before. Taking place March 13-16 of 2019, make sure to grab your tickets when they go on sale next Tuesday (Oct. 23). Check out the full lineup for SUNDARA above and enjoy!

Golden Features' New Remix Transforms ODESZA's "Falls" Into A Bass House Banger

golden features falls art

Golden Features is already back with new music hot off the release of his debut album SECT. The Australian producer has consistently impressed with dark, emotional originals like “Falling Out” and “Always” that showcase his distinct style while drawing inspiration from across the electronic world. He rarely drops remixes, saving the honor for the most prestigious artists in the game, namely Flume and Porter Robinson. Today Golden Features adds ODESZA to that legendary list with his remix of “Falls”.

Golden Features takes this remix in a completely different direction from the original track. Where the original featured Sasha Sloan’s catchy vocals, the remix substitutes distorted melodies and industrial percussion. The first drop is pure, grinding bass that hits the listener’s headphones like a piston. As the energy fades, Golden Features adds in a bright vocal chop that echoes above the dark production. This melody adds a layer of positive emotion over the second drop as the bass pounds on. Enjoy!

Golden Features Delivers Dark, Gritty House On Must Hear Debut Album ‘SECT’

golden features sect

Golden Features debut album SECT is finally here. The Australian producer is known for his dark, gritty house sound and SECT is his most intense, cohesive body of work yet. The three singles he released off of the album gave us a hint of the full project’s sonic diversity, from the catchy hooks on “Falling Out” to the driving, electro-house bassline on “Always”.

SECT effortlessly flows from track to track, switching moods without any disruption due to Golden Features’ consistent style. The first three tracks “Always”, “Medicate”, and “Runner” are instant reminders of why you’re here – driving basslines, searing electro synths, and dark vibes. The flow of the album shifts to more melodic, lyrical tracks with “Falling Out” and “Woodcut” but retain that melancholic, house-influenced style that will undoubtedly get stuck in your head. The back end of SECT is more experimental, with cinematic tracks like “Renewal” and “1991” surrounding bouncing house offerings “Worship” and “Everything”. All of these come together for an impressive debut album that we can’t wait to hear on a dancefloor soon. Enjoy!
