deadmau5 Shares Brand New 8-Track Compilation EP ‘mau5ville: level 1’ Ft. GTA, Getter & More

mau5ville

For over 10 years, deadmau5mau5trap label has been an absolute force to be reckoned with. Having been home to heavyweights such as Excision, Feed Me, Noisia, REZZ, Skrillex and many others, today marks the beginning of new chapter in the label’s history with the release of mau5trap’s brand new compilation EP - mau5ville: level 1.

We’ve been waiting quite some time for this one to drop. Aptly named after deadmau5' minecraft server, mau5ville: level 1 comes complete with some incredibly special tracks not only from GTA and Getter (which we recently heard teased via Getter’s album teaser) but from label boss himself. Although one of the two new mau5-tracks included on this latest offering, “Nyquist”, perfectly embodies the emotional progressive sound we’ve all come to know and love from deadmau5, the second is far from typical, as nearly 10 years after the release of the iconic single, “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff”, Rob Swire and deadmau5 have finally reunited on “Monophobia”.

In addition to the four new originals, the EP also features remixes of “Monophobia” from Latroit, ATTLAS and Rinzen, as well as an extended version of the track. Check out mau5ville: level 1 below, but don’t get too comfortable yet, as apparently this latest release is only the first of several levels of new and unreleased original music and remixes to come from deadmau5 in the coming months. And for the PUBG players and fans out there, make sure to tune-in to deadmau5’s Twitch channel here, as he’s teamed up with Twitch Prime and PUBG for a special Unboxing Prime Day event. Enjoy!

GTA Team Up With Dillon Francis, Wax Motif, & Anna Lunoe On Infectious New Deep House Tune “I Can’t Hold On”

GTA Anna lunoe dillon francis

Every once in a while we come across a collaboration that simply blows our minds. Seeing GTA, Dillon Francis, Anna Lunoe, and Wax Motif all on the same song made us do a double (maybe even a triple) take.

If we know anything about GTA, it’s that they know how to defy genres unlike most other artists. Trap, Hardstyle, Moombah, House, Future Bass; the duo can do it all. That’s why when they released their third installation of their Death To Genres EP, we literally had no idea what to expect. Our favorite track off the EP, “I Can’t Hold On” is GTA’s take on deep house, and it’s on point. With the help of electronic music all-stars like Dillon Francis, Wax Motif, and Anna Lunoe, it has to be.

The track begins with Anna Lunoe’s pitched up vocals paired with a classic, juicy deep house synth that leads eventually leads into a catchy drop that will have your head bobbing and your feet moving. Even though there’s four separate artists working on this track, its nearly impossible to pick out who worked on each part, making it seem like a more of a collaborative effort than usual.

This is a fantastic beginner track for those who aren’t quite sure if they like house music yet. It’s fun, infectious, and very easy to listen to. Enjoy!

Listen To Getter, Josh Pan and GTA's Hourlong B2B "Djing On Acid" Holy Ship Set

getter / josh pan

What happens on Holy Ship, stays on Holy Ship...that is unless somebody recorded their set and that's exactly what we have here. Josh Pan uploaded his back-to-back-to-back 50+ minute set with GTA and Getter and it's absolutely fire. He titled it "djing on acid ep. 1 ft. gta & getter on holy ship" which obviously made us a bit more interested in what the set would sound like.

There's a ton of IDs in the set, including an unreleased collaboration between GTA and Valentino Khan. Over the hourlong set, we hear some pretty trippy but still awesome tracks that span from trap to dubstep to breakbeat to house. The set features songs by Anna Lunoe, Joyryde, Medasin, 4B, Mr. Carmack and more. We highly suggest you listen to this b2b2b performance in full as GTA, Getter and Josh Pan simply crushed this one. Enjoy!
