Habstrakt Delivers Hard-Hitting Bass House Remix Of Zomboy’s “Saints & Sinners”

Habstrakt Zomboy

Bass-house heavyweight (and apparently master lasagna maker) Habstrakt has been on a steady roll lately. Having dropped a ridiculously filthy remix of DJ Snake’s “4 Life” and a massive collaboration with Skrillex, he has undoubtedly already had a winning year so far. It seems he isn’t finished with 2017 yet though, as the French producer has just shared a monster of a remix of Zomboy’s “Saints & Sinners”.

Following the success of his Confession released collab with Jace Mek, Habstrakt has taken it upon himself to give a full makeover to “Saints & Sinners” off of Zomboy’s recently released Rott N' Roll Pt. 1 EP. Starting off at a noticeably slower tempo than the original, Habstrakt keeps the vocals from the original intact over a ominous synth-filled intro. Some skittering percussion and rising sirens quickly throw the track into a powerful drop filled with abrasive growls, gritty wobbles and distorted bass. Check out Habstrakt’s remix of “Saints & Sinners” below and enjoy!

Skrillex Shares Heavy New Basshouse Single With Habstrakt "Chicken Soup"

Skrillex Habstrakt

Just last week Skrillex teased a heavy new collaboration with Habstrakt during his surprise Coachella set. Even a 30-second snippet of the track, titled “Chicken Soup,” had Coachella attendees going wild and captivated fans everywhere. The producers’ signature sounds came together perfectly in the track, showcasing Habstrakt’s bass house setup jam-packed with the intensity that Skrillex is known worldwide for. Today the wait for the release is finally over, with the song dropping just a day before OWSLA’s compilation of house tracks titled HOWSLA is set to go live.

“Chicken Soup” is even better in its entirety. The two producers took their time in developing an upbeat bassline to set things up. An edited rap vocal sample builds into a bass-laden drop, keeping the energy high and intense throughout the song. The setup allows both Skrillex and Habstrakt to shine, creating a unique and absolutely massive new house record. Check out “Chicken Soup” below and enjoy!

Watch Skrillex Drop A New Collaboration With Habstrakt at Coachella

Skrillex Habstrakt Coachella

Skrillex and Habstrakt have teamed up on a heavy new track unofficially called “Chicken Soup” that Skrillex teased during his surprise Coachella set. This marks the first official collaboration from the heavyweights, though the two have certainly shown interest in each other’s music in the past. Skrillex was just recently arrested on noise complaints after playing his demos too loud so maybe this is one of those demos and we can hope for it to drop soon.

While “Chicken Soup” is yet to be released, we can get a sense of the track from a video posted of Skrillex teasing the song at Coachella. Both producers’ distinct styles can be heard, with Habstrakt’s bass house structure and Skrillex’s grimy sound design combining future house aesthetics. Check out the fan video below and stay tuned for an official release. Enjoy!
