Shlohmo Drops Must-Hear New 'For Tha Summer Vol. XXVII' Mix With Incredible Hip-Hop remixes

Shlohmo Future Migos

Shlohmo has just released a new mixtape featuring 7 unreleased hip-hop remixes, entitled For Tha Summer (vol. XXVII). The tape puts his signature spin on massively popular tracks, which he calls "big heat wave lounge style music."

The founder of WEDIDIT Collective is no stranger to flipping hip-hop bangers into slowed-down, melancholy tracks with a completely different vibe. For his new tape, he expands upon this style by creating a 25-minute mix blending immediately recognizable tracks with soul samples and drum kits. Shlohmo added the following description to his perfect summer soundtrack:

"Put it on the big screen at the BBQ. put it on the radio while you driving with tacos on your lap. put it on ur phone while u sleepin under that tree. big heat wave lounge style with a plate + a red cup in hand. this ones 4 tha summer." - Shlohmo

In addition to putting it on SoundCloud, Shlohmo uploaded this to his YouTube channel with accompanying visuals. The video follows the established WEDIDIT aesthetic, mixing the tracks' music videos with lo-fi stock footage and dark images. Check out the tracklist and stream below. Enjoy!

Getter Returns As Terror Reid With New West-Coast Hip-Hop Track “Fuck Everybody”

Getter Terror Reid

Only a few months ago, Getter surprised everyone by launching rap alias Terror Reid and dropping hard-hitting hip-hop singles “Uppercuts” and “Who Dat?”. Now, still fresh off the incredibly-successful launch of his imprint, Shred Collective, Getter has shared a brand new Terror Reid track titled, “Fuck Everybody”.

Starting off with a sample from a Charles Manson interview, Getter once again showcases his production skills with an old-school, West Coast rap-inspired hip-hop beat, akin to something 90’s Dre or Snoop would’ve rapped on. Throughout the track, Terror Reid continues to grow upon his dark and menacing vibe, delivering clever, sputtering verses atop a distinctive G-Funk bass synth and slow-rolling drum track. While Getter himself seems to be a ridiculously comical dude, he’s no joke when it comes music. Check out Terror Reid’s new unambiguously titled single “Fuck Everybody” below and enjoy!

Knxwledge Drops New 'Wt.PRT.11' Mixtape Remixing N.E.R.D., Action Bronson & More: Hip-Hop

Knxwledge Press Shot

LA hip-hop producer Knwxledge has just released the newest installment of his WT.PRT. series, adding another project to the 80+ releases he already has out on Bandcamp. Between NxWorries, his collaborative project with Anderson .Paak, and producing for some of the biggest names in hip-hop (Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Earl Sweatshirt), it's hard to believe he has time to continually put out quality releases.

Wt.PRT.11 follows the mold of the first ten entries of the series, turning down the tempo of hip-hop tracks to put lo-fi 90's rap beats against the recognizable voices. Over the nine tracks, you can hear remixes of songs by N.E.R.D. (feat. Kanye West), Action Bronson, Jim Jones, Meek Mill, and more. Knxwledge marries his laidback beats with the strong verses he selects to match them, and one listen will make you want to hear him produce for your favorite rapper. With his strong work ethic and output, we can't wait to see where else he brings his talents in 2017. Enjoy!
