Boys Noize & Hudson Mohawke - Birthday (Remix) Ft. Danny Brown, Pell, Spank Rock : Massive Electronic Rap Collaboration

Boys Noize Hudson Mohawke Danny Brown Pell Spank Rock

Boys Noize and Hudson Mohawke linked up for a collaboration earlier this year with "Birthday" featuring Spank Rock on the chrous released on Boys Noize's latest studio album. Today that track is given a fresh new remix from rappers Danny Brown and Pell.

Danny offers his signature style of overly aggressive rapping on a rapid-fire verse as he approaches his album's release date. Pell follows up his collaboration with Big Gigantic as he shows off his ability to shine over electronic-based hip-hop production delivering a solid melodic verse highlighting his hybrid style of singing / rapping.

The track is now available to stream on Spotify. Enjoy!

Hudson Mohawke Confirms Working With Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean Hudson Mohawke

With Frank Ocean hype at an all-time high, it seems as though his LP could drop at any minute...or not at all. While nothing has been confirmed regarding the album's track list or collaborators, Hudson Mohawke has confirmed that he's been working with Ocean on new music.

In Dec. 2015, speculation of a HudMo and Frank Ocean collaboration arose following a Reddit storm that centered around a leaked file titled, "HudMo 4 FrankOcean.zip". The TNGHT producer now confirms those rumors with a casual tweet mentioning demos with Ocean, as well as James Blake, that may never see the light of day. Hudson Mohawke - Chimes (Alexander Lewis X Y2K Flip) [Cover Art]

One of Hudson Mohawke's most noteworthy singles, "Chimes", has been given a trap makeover by Alexander Lewis and Y2K. Let's rewind it back to 2012 when the the original song made its first series of appearances at TNGHT's live shows. Buzz around the drop's formidable brass instrumentation steadily built online and then experienced a significant spike, thanks to a major commercial sync for Apple's MacBook Air.

Fast forward to present time where rising producers Alexander Lewis and Y2K install a handful of elegant, cinematic synths around the production's foundation to give the song a grander appeal. Additionally, they experiment with the structuring and melody of the drop while still maintaining the lead synth's strong presence. Listen below and enjoy!
