[PREMIERE] Mysterious Act Darci Returns With Must Hear Genre Blending Single “Seeing Colors”

Darci Seeing Colors Artwork

We recently introduced a mysterious new hip-hop act called Darci to the site, and now we have the pleasure of introducing their infectious new track “Seeing Colors”. While there is still little known about whoever is behind the music, we can’t get enough of it.

While Darci's past releases have been in the autotune hip-hop vein similar to artists like Travis Scott and 6LACK, this new track takes a different direction from what we’ve become familiar with. On "Seeing Colors" they continue to showcase electronic-based production delivering impressive shuffling percussion with bright piano chords and atmospheric pads leading up to a beat switch at the end showing off their impressive production abilities.

Darci shows off their versatility with “Seeing Colors” as the vocals are definitely different from what we’ve heard on past releases. We hear a more R&B influence in this incredibly catchy track as the chorus has been stuck in our head since we first heard. We can’t wait to hear more from this quickly rising act that has yet to miss the mark on one of their releases. enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Newcomer Pink Skies Shares Impressive New Single "Start.End": Indie

Pink Skies

TSIS, meet Arieh Berl, aka Pink Skies. He is singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Oakland, CA who is making his artist debut with his single “Start.End”.

Berl started his career playing in punk and indie bands around the Bay Area. However, he is now revealing his solo project, Pink Skies, that can be described as a blend between psychedelic rock, R&B and chillwave… or as Berl put it, “Pop songs shot through a phaser and sent to space.” The first single, “Start.End”, is a very impressive launch for Pink Skies. It conveys a sound similar to artists such as Tame Impala and Duck Tails with a mellow, but futuristic, vibe. “Start.End” is comprised of robotic leads, stimulating vocals, powerful percussion and a standout bass line. All of which exhibit Berl’s versatility as an artist.

With the release of “Start.End” Berl declares he “freed himself from the anxious thoughts of feeling like an outsider and caring what others think. It’s a song about being free.” We at TSIS are happy to introduce Pink Skies to the world with the debut single “Start.End”… Enjoy!

Newcomer Artist Jaja Bu Impresses On Debut Genre-Blending Single "Sweetness"

jaja bu sweetness

Whenever we come across a debut track from a new artist it’s always a total wildcard and every once in a while we are blown away from the beginning of an artist's project. When we were sent over Jaja Bu’s first release “Sweetness,” it’s safe to say we were pleasantly surprised with what we heard.

The incredibly talented producer and vocalist is currently living in L.A. after growing up in New Jersey and spending time in Brooklyn fine-tuning his unique sound. He grew up as a drummer and this is evident in his productions that take a genre-blending approach combining slow-rolling synths and non-conventional percussion with gentle guitar licks laying the foundation for his indie R&B vocals to shine. Stay tuned for more from this new talent and enjoy!
