Maggie Rogers has seen rapid growth following her breakout hits, "Alaska" and "Dog Years", and continues her quality output of releases with with "On And Off". Rogers premiered the single via MistaJam on BBC and mentioned in her interview that her upcoming EP is titled Now That The Light Is Fading and is due Feb. 17.
During the interview Maggie talks about how she was making folk music and was inspired by house music while studying abroad in Europe where she was hearing house music and "totally fell in love with dancing”.
"On And Off" further builds her signature sound, blending folk music with electronic aesthetics. Rogers' beautiful voice soars atop a catchy chorus built on laid-back piano melodies, punchy percussion and guitar licks. All these instruments are combined with rolling synths and background vocal chops that give the song an electronic edge. We’re excited to see what her forthcoming EP brings as the first few tracks have been sounding amazing. Enjoy!
