Opia Delivers Dreamy 6-Track 'Faded' EP

Opia Faded EP

The trio behind Opia have released their first packaged offering with their debut EP Faded which includes tracks such as “Secrets” and “Devil In Disguise”. Opia is an indie electronic group that consists of three guys who met in college and decided to make music in an underground studio. There is Cole on guitars/vocals, DJ Stanfill on a keyboard/vocals and colorthought behind the production of the project. The three together have developed a unique and bright sound that is heard throughout Faded and that we are absolutely digging.

"Faded EP was inspired by a time of transitions--from college to LA, from one relationship to the next, from adolescence to adulthood. “Faded” is about recognizing both the parts of ourselves that fade during these transitions, and the new parts that add color and meaning to the future as we grow." - Opia

The group is slated to support Whethan on his Good Nights Tour starting in September, the list of tour dates can be seen below. Until then, their Faded EP should be able to hold you over… Enjoy!

Kasbo Teams Up With Rising Vocalist Keiynan Lonsdale For Must Hear New Single “Lay It On Me”

Kasbo Keiynan Lonsdale

Over the past few years, Swedish producer Kasbo has proved himself a formidable force in the indie electronic world. At a mere 21 years old, the artist has created tune after tune that exudes an emotional complexity beyond his young age, wrapping a tenderness and a dance-friendly vibe all in one. Kasbo most recently debuted a new hourlong mixtape series called Cry / Dance, which more than succeeds in his self-described goal of making you want to cry and dance at the same time. This followed his release of “Found You,” one of our favorite tracks of 2017, and now he's back with what might be our favorite from him yet.

Today we’re excited to be sharing yet another incredible new track from the vibrant Kasbo, “Lay It On Me” featuring Keiynan Lonsdale. If that name sounds familiar to you, you’ve probably seen it before – Lonsdale stars as Wally West, AKA Kid Flash, on the CW’s hit series The Flash. His talents go far beyond acting, with his voice truly shining on this new track.

With Kasbo’s chill production style and Lonsdale’s smooth vocal chops, “Lay It On Me” makes for a perfectly relaxed single that exudes a summer vibe. A subtle production on the intro showcases Lonsdale’s tone, building into a nice piano-infused bridge. The drop is both lighthearted and compelling, incorporating steady synths and tropical-style percussion. “Lay It On Me” is yet another example of Kasbo doing what he does best. We recently saw Kasbo debut his live show and it absolutely blew us away so be sure to catch him live if you have the chance. Kasbo is joining ODESZA on select tour dates as well so check those out below and be sure to see him live. Stream the track below and enjoy!

Australian Duo Flight Facilities Return With Mellow New Single "Arty Boy" ft. Emma Louise

Flight Facilities

Flight Facilities, the indie electronic duo hailing from Australia, have been very quiet for a while. Their debut studio album Down To Earth, which featured their standout single “Crave You”, was released in October of 2014. In 2015 they dropped a six-song remix package and a live album with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra performing a collection of tracks from Flight Facilities’ repertoire. However, they have not shared any new songs since their 2014 album…. Until today.

With help from Future Classic and Glassnote Records, Flight Facilities have unleashed their latest single “Arty Boy” with an accompanying music video. The indie pop track features vocal support from Brisbane singer/songwriter Emma Louise. Emma Louise has worked with Flight Facilities in the past to create their collaborative track “Two Bodies”. Now, their fresh collaboration “Arty Boy” is an incredible resurgence for Flight Facilities.

“Arty Boy” is hypnotic and mellow with funk-synths working alongside Emma’s soothing voice to start the track. Momentum then builds as hand-claps are introduced to pair with sporadic percussion escorting listeners directly into the romantic chorus that brings all of the track’s elements together. The music video for “Arty Boy” is bizarre with an old-school vibe that weirdly revolves around weight-lifting and Arnold Schwarzenegger? Enjoy!
