Maggie Rogers Shares New Single "On And Off" From Upcoming EP : Indie Electronic

Maggie Rogers Press On And Off

Maggie Rogers has seen rapid growth following her breakout hits, "Alaska" and "Dog Years", and continues her quality output of releases with with "On And Off". Rogers premiered the single via MistaJam on BBC and mentioned in her interview that her upcoming EP is titled Now That The Light Is Fading and is due Feb. 17.

During the interview Maggie talks about how she was making folk music and was inspired by house music while studying abroad in Europe where she was hearing house music and "totally fell in love with dancing”.

"On And Off" further builds her signature sound, blending folk music with electronic aesthetics. Rogers' beautiful voice soars atop a catchy chorus built on laid-back piano melodies, punchy percussion  and guitar licks. All these instruments are combined with rolling synths and background vocal chops that give the song an electronic edge. We’re excited to see what her forthcoming EP brings as the first few tracks have been sounding amazing. Enjoy!

Stream & Download The xx’s Third Studio Album ‘I See You’

The xx I see you

The xx are back with the highly anticipated release of their third studio album, I See You. This latest release is the follow-up to their incredible Coexist LP in 2012.

After years of staying quiet, the UK trio returned in a big way with their amazing lead single "Hold On" which brought a much bigger presence from Jaime xx than we’d previously heard from the group. They followed that up with "Say Something Loving" which had a more familiar xx sound with gentle instrumentation and duet-styled vocal performances from Rome and Oliver.

Now the project is available in full and builds on the sound we last heard from The xx, delivering a wider range of styles than their previous releases. Following Coexist, Jamie xx went out on his own to share an incredible solo album called In Colour where he showcased his uncanny sampling and production abilities. Now they’ve incorporated more of Jaime’s dance-driven tendencies into some of the tracks on I See You.

While a few of the tracks carry a higher level of energy, others deliver the gentle, minimal instrumentation that’s made up their signature sound we all know. Stream I See You in full below and enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Whethan & Oliver Tree Reunite On New Single “All You Ever Talk About”

Whethan All You Ever Talk About Artwork

Bubbling artists Whethan and Oliver Tree have done it again. We’re excited to be premiering their amazing new cheerful collaboration "All You Ever Talk About", which follows up their recent infectious debut collaborative track "When I’m Down" that we’ve had on repeat.

This gem of a indie-electronic and future bass hybrid once again shows the two have undeniable chemistry. This latest joint effort builds upon the success of their first. Oliver Tree’s vocals only include six repeated words, but are delivered in a way that connects incredibly well. Per usual, Whethan crafts a catchy instrumental filled with bouncing melodies and gentle sound design combining with Tree’s distinct vocals on the feel-good song. They were also joined on the track by Casey Mattson, who is a versatile keyboardist, producer and composer with a background in jazz, hip-hop and R&B. Cover art by Drew Visuals see more here.
