Just A Gent Drops Dark Trap Remix Of San Holo’s “The Future”

Just a Gent San Holo

With an inviting signature sound and a notable sense of style to boot, Just A Gent consistently impresses with his releases. He’s been back on the scene recently with tracks like “You’ll Never Know” and “Hold,” but today’s release could be his biggest of the year so far: a truly innovative remix of San Holo’s massive track “The Future” feat. James Vincent McMorrow, shared via Just A Gent’s ‘Just A Tune’ side project.

Just A Gent had some big shoes to fill in taking on one of San Holo’s biggest releases of the year, and he no doubt rose to the occasion. A subdued, gentle intro leads you in shortly before some surprisingly dark bass begins lurking just beneath the bright production. This is just a small taste of the massive drop, which incorporates abrasive punches of bass and ominous synth melodies in perfect synchronization. The producer maintains a nice ebb and flow of energy in between each drop, making for a powerful release from start to finish. Check out Just A Gent’s take on “The Future” below and enjoy!

RAC Shares Ethereal Remix Of James Vincent McMorrow’s “Evil”

Between his eclectic remix work and genre-blending original releases, André Allen Anjos, known by his stage name as RAC, has consistently proven himself a powerful force within music. This year the artist has only reinforced this idea all the more with a stellar new album titled EGO, which features vibrant singles “Unusual,” “The Beautiful Game,” “This Song” and “I Still Wanna Know.” Today the artist is back with another dynamic release, this time remixing James Vincent McMorrow’s “Evil.”

RAC is a true master at creating the unexpected when it comes to his reworks, and this track is a perfect example of this refined skill. He takes his time with this one, stripping down most of the production in favor of delicate guitar plucks, faint percussion and violin melodies for the first half of the track. The production, percussion and vocals build from there, with RAC utilizing a gripping tension throughout the rest of the track. Check out the remix below and enjoy!
