Jerry Folk Drops Funky New Instrumental Future Bass Track “This Feeling”

Jerry Folk This Feeling

This year has been big for Jerry Folk. The Oslo-to-LA transplant has consistently pushed the envelope with both his originals and remixes. Recently he's shared fantastic releases such as his innovative Purple Evenings mixtape. The talented artist has shared a string of top-notch remixes including a bangin’ take on Lemaitre’s “Higher” and a funk-filled edit of Post Malone’s Rockstar

This Feeling” is the latest from Jerry Folk and is a wonky future-bass track with his signature vocal chops serving as both catchy melody and heavy percussion.  The short buildup grabs your attention with its harsh synths and rapidly multiplying instruments, not to mention a captivating vocal sample from a funky throwback. All of these elements collapse into an energetic drop that constantly switches up the rhythm with snares panning from ear to ear. Folk eventually gives us a breather following the first drop but comes back even harder before the track closes out. Enjoy!

Jerry Folk Impresses With Funky, Refreshing Remix Of Post Malone & 21 Savage’s “Rockstar”

Jerry Folk Post Malone

Jerry Folk has become a favorite of ours over the past couple of years, with 2017 no doubt being his most explosive year yet. The Norway-born producer and vocalist has maintained a spree of unique releases over the past few months, from his eclectic Purple Evenings mixtape we premiered in June to his recent remix of Lemaitre’s “Higher” just last month. Today Jerry Folk keeps the remix streak going with an incredible take on Post Malone’s “Rockstar” feat. 21 Savage.

Besides the familiar vocals (which Folk chops up and edits impeccably), this rework is in a smooth, funky realm entirely unique from the original. The producer recruited Los Angeles-based artist Heavy Mellow for some infectious guitar chords that pair perfectly with the simple percussion and subdued production. Folk takes the entire mood of the release deeper with an unexpected hip-hop switch mid-track, only to brighten things up once again with a light synth melody at the end. Check it out below and enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Jerry Folk Shares Amazing Remix Of Lemaitre's "Higher" Ft. Maty Noyes

Jerry Folk Lemaitre Remix

Jerry Folk is on a hot streak this year. It seems every original track he puts out is straight fire and unique in its own way. This time around we’re glad to be premiering his forward thinking remix of Lemaitre and Many Noyes’ “Higher.”

Jerry Folk is coming off the release of his genre-blending mixtape Purple Evenings we also had the pleasure of premiering as he switches things up for a remix this time around. Like everything Jerry does, this remix is uniquely different from the original. Lemaitre’s track had a gritty, abrasive tone to the production that’s been entirely stripped away for new production carrying a mystical vibe throughout with the lush keys, bright chimes and textures leading up the to cinematic drop. The original’s vocals are utilized perfectly, adding just the right about of effect and vocal drops until the extra chill outdo showing off Jerry’s impressive sound design and ear for catchy melodies. Enjoy!
