Just A Gent

Just A Gent Drops Dark Trap Remix Of San Holo’s “The Future”

Just a Gent San Holo

With an inviting signature sound and a notable sense of style to boot, Just A Gent consistently impresses with his releases. He’s been back on the scene recently with tracks like “You’ll Never Know” and “Hold,” but today’s release could be his biggest of the year so far: a truly innovative remix of San Holo’s massive track “The Future” feat. James Vincent McMorrow, shared via Just A Gent’s ‘Just A Tune’ side project.

Just A Gent had some big shoes to fill in taking on one of San Holo’s biggest releases of the year, and he no doubt rose to the occasion. A subdued, gentle intro leads you in shortly before some surprisingly dark bass begins lurking just beneath the bright production. This is just a small taste of the massive drop, which incorporates abrasive punches of bass and ominous synth melodies in perfect synchronization. The producer maintains a nice ebb and flow of energy in between each drop, making for a powerful release from start to finish. Check out Just A Gent’s take on “The Future” below and enjoy!

Just A Gent Drops Melodic Future Bass Single "Hold" Feat. Thief

Just A Gent Hold

Just A Gent has delivered yet another incredible tune “Hold” with vocal accompaniment from Thief. Just A Gent’s unique future-bass inspired sound has continually grown from “Rolling Dice” to “You’ll Never Know”, and now, to his latest “Hold”.

The song sets the energetic tone right away with break-beat percussion and an abrupt build taken right into a piercing drop. The break is where Thief’s emotional vocals come into play which are a great compliment to Just A Gent’s heartfelt piano chords. “Hold” is Just A…nother example of how Just A Gent is continually pushing the boundaries of the growing future bass niche. Enjoy!

Just A Gent Releases Fresh Future Bass Single "You'll Never Know" Feat. MOZA

Just a gent you'll Never Know

Just A Gent continues to impress us with his innovative future bass sound. This time he has delivered a collaboration with fellow Australian duo MOZA, consisting of vocalist Cam Nacson and instrumentalist Toby Chew. We’ve been vibing to Just A Gent’s previous track “Leave It All” for the last couple of months, and we’re excited for his newest release “You’ll Never Know.

Just A Gent sets the stage for “You’ll Never Know” with swelling pads and brings the energy up with symphonic strings and piano. Nacson lays out a catchy vocal melody that reverberates powerfully through the atmospheric sound design. Just A Gent drops the track with evolving, metallic synths, heavy bass, and pattering hi-hats before tying it all back together. Enjoy!
