KAYTRANADA

Kaytranada Shines On Must Hear Funky Remix Of The Internet's "Roll (Burbank Funk)"

kaytranada the internet

Kaytranada can do no wrong. Especially when he’s taking on a group as good as The Internet for a proper remix. Today he’s shared his must hear version of The Internet’s new song “Roll (Burbank Funk)” and it’s just what we wanted.

The Internet returned in a big way a couple weeks ago with this release as their first single since 2015, and there’s no one we’d rather take on a remix of the talented group than Kaytranada. We’ve heard Kaytranda link up with Internet singer Syd on a few tracks in the past so this new remix isn’t a full surprise. Kaytra adds his signature funky synths taking an 80’s inspiration while his pulsing bassline impresses throughout giving the original a dancer edge.

Kaytranada Shares Smooth New Demo "Do We Have A Problem?"

Kaytranada

Kaytranada has been active lately and has now uploaded a fresh new demo “Do We Have A Problem.” Just in the past couple weeks he teamed up with MF DOOM co-producing Bishop Nehru’s recent album “Elevators: Act 1”  He also recently said he went back to making trap so we can’t wait to hear what that’s like. This new demo brings the signature, smooth Kaytranada vibe we love. Enjoy!

Kaytranada Says He “Went Back To Making Trap”

Kaytranada trap

Kaytranada can do it all. Although the Canadian has a smooth, signature sound characterized by his funky basslines and lush instrumentation, he can hold his own with just about any style of production. He’s shown an incredible skill set blending his style of hip-hop and dance music but now he said he’s making trap and it’s too raw… we really can’t wait to hear what this entails. He actually linked up with MF DOOM to co-produce rising rapper Bishop Nehru's new project.

Kaytranada going hard would be an amazing change of pace from what he’s been up to lately and we can’t wait to hear it. He's gone a trap direction in the past most recently dabbled in this style on songs like  "Wimme Nah" with Vic Mensa and used some subtle trap-inspired percussion on "Glowed Up" but a full-blown trap song from Kaytra in 2018 could be crazy. Enjoy!
