PREMIERE | Kill Paris Shares Must-Hear Remix Of Mija’s “Falling ApART (again)”

kill paris mija

After a brief hiatus from producing, laidback LA-based beatmaker Kill Paris leapt back on the scene in May 2017 with his exploratory original “where r u.” Since then the producer has continued experimenting, sharing funky singles like “Red Lights” as well as emotive tracks like “Out of the Dark” and, more recently, “Made Of Time.” Today we’re excited to premiere the latest from Kill Paris: a fresh and forward-thinking remix of Mija’s “Falling ApART (again)” off her debut HOW TO MEASURE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN LOVERS EP.

"I instantly fell in love with this original track, and the song itself is so honest and just really cool. So when I got the remix kit, I really wanted to make an ode to Mija - something with some "techno" flavor, and something that I could see her playing in her sets." – Kill Paris

This remix could be the most adventurous offering from Kill Paris to date. The producer keeps Mija’s vocals – the most raw, emotional part of the original – intact but completely re-imagines the production in a style that’s truly hard to nail down. A danceable beat sets the tone for most of the track, with deep bass of all kinds making appearances throughout. Most compelling about the song is an unusual breakdown in the last minute jam-packed with airy progressions, skittering percussion and Mija’s familiar voice.

Kill Paris’ take on “Falling ApART (again)” comes ahead of his sophomore studio album set to drop this summer. After hearing this, we’re beyond excited to hear what he’s got in store. Check out the remix below and enjoy!

Kill Paris Releases Relaxing, Emotional Future Bass Tune "Made Of Time" Ft. Trove & Emily Vaughn

kill paris made of time art

Kill Paris has been on a streak with his impressive recent songs and shows no signs of slowing down. The LA-based artist recently delivered a handful of chill songs we can't get enough of including "where r u," "Red Lights" and "Out of the Dark" before his latest song "Made Of Time" featuring Trove & Emily Vaughn.

"I really liked the idea of being "made of time" for someone. At the end of the day, time is all relative, and if you spend time with the one you love, it can seem like theres no such thing as time. The song is really about that - being willing to spend as much time waiting to be with the one who makes you feel like time doesn't exist. The lyrics are a bit of a call back and connect to my song 'where r u' which is all about waiting on 'the one.'" - Kill Paris

This relaxing new song comes via Lowly Palace and puts a magical spin on future bass that we're loving. He crafts an emotional soundscape for Trove and Emily Vaughn's vocals to shine atop. The laidback future bass song builds up a multitude of layers leading to a gentle drop showcasing his sound design and songwriting abilities as he continues to show off a wide range of versatility on his releases. Enjoy!
