Flume, Knife Party & More Release New Mixes For Australia Day

Knife Party Flume

For those who don't know, Australia Day was yesterday (Jan. 26). To celebrate the day, BBC Radio 1 host Annie Nightingale brought Knife Party, Flume and M-Phazes (who recently collaborated with Alison Wonderland) onto the show to each deliver new mixes.

Each of them showed plenty of love to their home country as each act made sure to incorporate music made by their fellow Aussies. Flume played a handful of cuts from his Skin LP, including "Say It" feat. Tove Lo and "Smoke & Retribution" feat. Vince Staples and Kucka.

Knife Party followed right after Flume as the bass music duo throws in a couple remixes of their new song "Battle Sirens" and even include some of their classics like "Internet Friends". Herobust's new track "Dirt Heater Tea" and Ekali's "Akira" collaboration with KRANE are also dropped in the mix. You can listen to all the mixes below. Enjoy!

Knife Party & Tom Morello - Battle Sirens : Huge Collaboration

Knife Party & Tom Morello - Battle Sirens

Last year, news surfaced that Tom Morello of the iconic rock band Rage Against the Machine was working with Knife Party. Tom was brought onstage for the UK duo's set at Ultra Music Festival where they debuted the new track. Fans have been anxiously waiting ever since...

Well now fans receive the proper collaborative release in full and it sounds awesome. While the track starts off staying true to Rage's rock sounds, it quickly picks up speed with Knife Party packing non-stop drops and gritty bass flavor. Listen to the collaboration below ahead of it’s release this Friday. Enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Knife Party’s “Destroy Them With Lazers” Gets Massive Remix From Herobust [Free Download]

Knife Herobust

At the tail-end of 2011, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen of Knife Party released their laser-charged single, "Destroy Them With Lazers." The record has proved its longevity and still remains a prominent weapon in countless DJ sets today by Zedd, Jauz, Mat Zo and more.

Rising trap star Herobust has decided to apply his signature skill set to the tune and give it the proper "BUSTED" treatment. Listeners, prepare to immerse yourselves in a cold laser-fueled battle that is occasionally provided a warm breeze by lush synths. The action-packed soundscape is nicely sectioned out by punchy percussive elements that cast a sense of order among the chaos.

For those who feel this type of environment suits them perfectly, we highly suggest you check out the producer's 60-minute mix for Diplo & Friends, along with his remix of NGHTMRE's single, "Street."

Listen below to Herobust's "BUSTED" remake of "Destroy Them With Lazers," exclusively on TSIS.
