Krewella And R3HAB Link Up For Vibrant New Single "Ain't That Why"

Krewella aint that why

Krewella has linked up with electronic producer R3HAB for one last single of 2017. The Chicago-born sisters have had a busy year with a diverse 7-track EP titled “New World” as well as hopping on records with Yellow Claw & Taylor Bennett, Lookas, and Pegboard Nerds. Krewella’s songs have been  drawing from various musical influences including future bass and moombahton.

Ain’t That Why” is the latest single in this string of energetic releases, a confident track that showcases Krewella’s soaring vocal melodies that vibrantly interact with their synth counterparts. Each chorus feels like a celebration that effortlessly collapses into a verse peppered with low-key guitar riffs and xylophone-esque chirps. R3HAB’s party-ready style of electronica and Krewella’s addicting musical touch are a fantastic combo on this one. Enjoy!

Krewella & Yellow Claw Link With Taylor Bennett For Hard-Hitting New Single "New World"

Krewella new world art

Today we are pleased to present you with a huge collaboration from a powerhouse of talent. Krewella and Yellow Claw go off on this newest release, titled “New World,” featuring Chance The Rapper's brother, Taylor Bennett. The title for “New World” is itself a nod at Krewella’s latest EP, New World Pt. 1, which dropped over the summer.

“[We] were thinking about how our multi-cultural experience, as part European, half-Pakistani girls growing up in Chicago and then moving to LA, and being able to travel the world, has made our life so colorful and has given us a unique perspective.” – Jahan of Krewella

"'New World' is about cultural diversity. Embracing your skin color, flaunting your differences. Loving your ethnic background in a world that many times tells you to hate it. The world is going to be a bunch of mixed kids someday. The real melting pot. That is the New World." – Yasmine of Krewella

“New World” effortlessly embodies and intertwines the unique styles of its collaborators, with Yellow Claw’s hip-hop-influenced trap style underlying Krewella’s catchy flow and powerful pop vocals. The track drops with a playful, Eastern-inspired lead melody and heavy percussion and sub bass. Taylor Bennett makes an appearance in the middle, spitting a verse about different ethnicities coming together and referencing his own upbringing before paving the way for a final chorus and drop.

“New World” is an energetic addition to the repertoires of its collaborators. Krewella’s tour by the same name kicks off in just three days in Dallas. Grab tickets for this and other shows on the tour here. Enjoy!
