Lane 8 Shares Next Installment Of His Seasonal Mix Series “Fall 2018 Mixtape” : Chill House

fall 2018 mixtape cover art

In the grand scheme of things, it really hasn’t been that long since Lane 8 dropped his unprecedented five hour Summer 2018 Mixtape. In fact, it hasn’t even been three months, but that won’t stop Lane 8 from feeding us a whole new course of fresh tunes, this time over the span of two and a half hours.

These extended sets/mixes are Lane 8 in his element. It’s his job to not just expose you to deep, wonderful, emotion provoking music, but to take you on a journey. It’s what he’s done throughout his entire career, and it’s what he does here on his brand new Fall 2018 Mixtape. This particular mix, overall, has a bit more of a melancholy tone to it (which Lane 8 always nails), which makes sense considering the bright days of summer are coming to a close.

After listening to this mixtape, you may feel inclined to go find a venue to see Lane 8 play live. He recently announced the second phase of his Little By Little album tour. Check out the dates below as well as the new Fall 2018 Mixtape. Enjoy!

Lane 8 Drops Club Mix & Morning Mix Remixes Of George FitzGerald's "Burns"

lane 8

There's just no stopping this man. Lane 8 has had an insane year so far and shows no signs at slowing down even a little bit. His Little By Little album was released at the beginning of the year and is still one of our favorite releases this year. On top of that he's kept a constant output of music including an EP, loose singles and various remixes that each showcase just how incredible of a producer he is.

Now he's not only shared a new remix of George FitzGerald's "Burns," but Lane 8 took it upon himself to share two versions: a club mix and a morning mix. Last month he dropped loose single "The Disappearance of Colonel Mustard" which came shortly after a 5-hour mix and his "Bluebird / Duchess" EP. Now he's placed his spin on the already amazing original putting his magic touch on both version, as he once again delivers some incredible chill house. Enjoy!

Lane 8 Does Not Disappoint On New Deep House Track “The Disappearance Of Colonel Mustard”

lane 8

It seems like we just finally got finished with a full listen through Lane 8’s 5-hour, masterful Summer 2018 Mixtape, and he’s already got new music for us. His last release was an amazingly tranquil two track EP in collaboration with Anderholm and Khåen, but this new release is much different. The new track is titled “The Disappearance Of Colonel Mustard,” and it’s pure deep house heat.

Most of Lane 8’s recent music has been the kind of stuff you could meditate to for hours straight, but “The Disappearance Of Colonel Mustard” is designed for a club setting. The tune still retains Lane 8’s dreamy melodies, which we expected, but the bassline comes in hard, and caught us totally off guard.

During the second half, the track builds up a tremendous amount of energy and then proceeds to drop even harder, with Lane 8 introducing a new, gritty, distorted synth that would send any dancefloor into a frenzy.

We’re seriously digging this fresh upbeat sounding track from Lane 8, and we think you will too. Stream “The Disappearance Of Colonel Mustard” below and enjoy!
