Lido Shares Chill Acoustic Single "Solsbury Hill" [Free Download]

Lido Solsbury Hill

Lido continues to put his impressive vocals on full display with his latest single, "Solsbury Hill". The song is pretty different than his previous vocal works like "Dye" and his remix of Alison Wonderland's "Messiah", and instead takes a more simple and chill approach.

"Solsbury Hill" features simple percussion, piano and harp melodies that direct the main focus of the track to Lido's soulful voice. He creatively chops up his own vocals as well to create a secondary melody that makes the song sound like a duet. Things take a trippy turn in the last drop with a hypnotic sequence that ends up perfectly blending with the track's main melody. Listen to "Solsbury Hill" below and enjoy!

Lido's "So Cold" Receives Impressive Rework From Minnesota

Lide Minnesota Side By Side

Minnesota has just remixed Lido's track "So Cold" off his debut LP Everything and we absolutely love it. The amount of creativity and originality Minnesota injects into the production is not only impressive, but refreshing.

The original track is pretty minimal, featuring a distorted bassline, heavy drums and a catchy vocal hook that Lido uses throughout the album. Minnesota adds some vivid imagery to the song and adds a rich piano melody under the vocal hook to give the production more emotion. He also tastefully incorporates some pitched-down vocal chops that blend it perfectly with the rest of the mix.

After about a minute, we hear a unique electric guitar-sounding riff that's mixed with crisp future bass synths. The remix goes through several styles, energies and moods in such a smooth way that will have you captivated until the very end. Listen to Minnesota's remix of "So Cold" by Lido below and enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Alison Wonderland Shares Cinematic Remix Of Lido's “Crazy"

Alison Wonderland x Lido

Lido blew us away last April with "Crazy", the lead single off his debut single. The song came paired with an insane music video in which Lido conducted a symphony of lights in sync with the track's lush future bass synths, vocals and horn bursts. Well now Alison Wonderland has decided to give the record her own spin and we're excited to premiere it on TSIS.

While the original track starts off by isolating the vocal, Alison chooses to give the production a darker, more cinematic feel by adding low orchestral strings underneath. She layers this opening sequence with epic percussion that steadily becomes louder and louder in the buildup. The future bass drop is reworked and broken up with unique drum hits and other percussive fillers.

It's worth noting that Lido's remix of Alison's single "Messiah" with M-Phazes also dropped today, but it wasn't by complete coincidence. The two are actually really good friends.

"Alison is one of my best friends in the whole world. We met three years ago and she's had my back ever since. We even lived together for a little while. As soon as she played me Messiah I knew I had to put my spin on it and it was torture keeping the song on the hush for so long. I guess she felt similarly about Crazy so this is the most organic remix-swap of all time!" - Lido

Alison adds, "It's really cool to be creative with people who you not only respect as an artist but you can call a friend." With respect to Lido's remix of "Messiah", it simply is next level. Lido takes on the duty of vocals and nails it. He completely makes it his own and masterfully switches from one mood to another in smooth fashion. He keeps the upbeat house drop but overlays the catchy beat with distinct drums and atmospheric pads. Listen to his remix of "Messiah" and the premiere of Alison's remix of "Crazy" below. Enjoy!
