Major Lazer Actually Have A Tribute Band Featuring The Fat Jew

Major Behavior

Sometimes when a band reaches a certain threshold of fame, a tribute band will pop up and try to mimic the style/appearance of the act with their own spin. While iconic groups such as The Beatles, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin have undergone the tribute treatment, there haven't been many dance music -- other than Daft Punk -- that have experienced this type of playful recognition...until now.

Behold...Major Behavior, the tribute band behind Major Lazer...sort of. Best of all, the Fat Jew plays the frontman of the group. Billboard goes behind-the-scenes in this hilarious parody interview with the Fat Jew and his tribute group. Watch below and enjoy!

Major Lazer's "Cold Water" Receives Trap Remix From Boombox Cartel

Major Lazer Press Shot

It's been a busy month for Boombox Cartel. The Los Angeles duo recently announced that they've signed to Diplo's Mad Decent imprint and yesterday, dropped a brand new collaboration with QUIX called "Supernatural".  On top of that, they just released their official remix of Major Lazer's summer hit, "Cold Water" feat. Justin Bieber and .

The production kicks off with a hollow house-inspired bass line that's overlaid with rich piano chords, but quickly pivots to a darker, aggressive tone in the build. Listeners are soon thrusted into a heavy trap drop filled with deep brass notes, tom drum hits and grinding synths. However, the mood lightens in the second drop with an uplifting future bass progression. Stream Boombox Cartel's remix below and enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Big Gigantic Share Remix For Major Lazer's “Wave" [Free Download]

[PREMIERE] Big Gigantic Share Remix For Major Lazer's “Wave" [Free Download] - Featured Image

Colorado live electronic duo Big Gigantic are back at it again following up their recent single "The Little Things". Earlier this year the guys toured through India as a part of the first ever Mad Decent Block Party India edition with Diplo's Major Lazer outfit, which resulted in them being asked to remix ML’s single "Wave" adding a new cast of chill emotions into the mix.

Right from the start, you can hear some jazzy horn riffs provided by Dominic Lalli that coincide with Kali Uchis' dreamy vocals perfectly. The new build up makes way for a future bass inspired drop yet delivered in that signature Big Gigantic fashion we love. It's exciting to hear them take on an act like Major Lazer and it has us excited for what's next. Listen to the premiere and grab a free download below. Enjoy!

Also don't miss out on this year's Rowdytown, which is the 5th edition, the 2 day mini festival at Red Rocks that we here at TSIS throw annually with Big Gigantic.
