Medasin Flips Khalid and Normani’s “Love Lies” Into Vibrant Future Bass Jam

Medasin has been a machine lately, pumping out new music left and right. More and more big artists are turning to the young producer to flip their music into more danceable, vibey tracks, and Medasin has been executing each remix with ease.

The latest piece of music he’s hopping on is Khalid and Normani’s affectionate ballad, “Love Lies.” Medasin keeps the tempo around the same, but adds a wave of daydreamy synths, and powerful percussion that give the track a colorful makeover. He’s successfully flipped “Love Lies” from a bedroom jam into something you can get down to in any setting.

We’re only halfway through 2018, and Medasin has dropped more music than a good portion of all the artists we regularly follow. Through this tweet, we know that he’ll be taking a bit of a break so he can focus on the release of “Irene 2.0.” As soon as we know more about that forthcoming project, we’ll let you know.

Medasin & Galimatias Tease Their Incredible Collab In The Works

To say that Medasin has been having a good year would be an understatement. Having started off 2018 by dropping his breathtaking 29-minute Irene project, the Dallas-based producer has kept us on our toes over the past six months with an incredible remix of Post Malone’s “I Fall Apart” as well as teaming up with Ekali and Elohim on their recently released track, “Forever”. And now it seems that Medasin has another collab in the works, this time with Galimatias.

Considering that both Medasin and Galimatias push a similar chill, melodic vibe with their music, it would make perfect sense for the two to join forces. But as we've only seen snippets and teasers of a possible collab, we’re hoping this latest teaser means the two have teamed up on something that will hopefully the light of day. Set to David Lewandowski’s popular 2017 short film “time for sushi”, this latest offering seems to be a perfect mix of both Medasin and Galimatias’ sophisticated sound design and chord progressions - all mixed into a fresh bossa nova-inspired structure. Although Medasin is clear that it’s still a work-in-progress, we’ll be keeping an eye (and ear) out for this one to drop. Check out the snippet of the collab below and enjoy!

Ekali & Medasin Link Up With Elohim On Chill New Melodic Track “Forever”

ekali elohim medasin

Two of trap and future bass’s most talented producers, Ekali and Medasin, have come together to collaborate on a new track that was just released today titled “Forever.” The two artists have similar styles when it comes to production, and after listening to this new track, it sounds like their collaborative efforts have brought the best out of both of their sounds.

Ekali & Medasin’s melodies on “Forever” blend perfectly with the vocals that are supplied by the one and only Elohim. Elohim has been featured on a number of tracks with both Louis The Child and Whethan, and is quickly becoming one of our favorite vocalists and producers as she's been putting these talents on full display on her own releases like "Fuck Your Money."

“Forever” has everything we’d want on a track by Ekali & Medasin: sweet melodies, a thick, driving bassline, and crisp percussion, all melted together using Elohim’s flawless voice. If you’re a fan of any of these artists, you definitely need to take a listen below. Enjoy!
