[PREMIERE] Rising Producer Rusty Hook Makes TSIS Debut With Dreamy Original “Relief” Feat. Truitt

Rusty Hook

In recent months we’ve been consistently impressed by Slow Hours, a powerhouse group comprised of six young French producers. We first premiered the group back in June with their remix of Petit Biscuit’s “Sunset Lover,” a piece that displayed Slow Hours’s stunning sound design. Today we’re excited to premiere a track from one of the six talents behind this collection of artists, Rusty Hook. The single, “Relief” feat. Truitt, appears off of Rusty Hook’s forthcoming debut EP, Romance Is Dead, Good Riddance, set to drop later this year.

Rusty Hook proves with this one that he can hold his own as a solo producer. Truitt’s effortless vocals float over layers and layers of spaced out synths, powerful bass punches and resounding percussion for the first half of the track. Most compelling about the piece is a synth breakdown throughout the second half that utilizes an infectious tension married with Truitt’s spellbinding tone. Altogether, “Relief” pulls from various genres to create a unique sound that we’re loving. If “Relief” is any sign of what to expect from Rusty Hook’s solo EP, we can’t wait for its release. Check out the single below via Moving Castle and enjoy!

We Are Teaming Up With Next Wave Records To Launch "Wave Tape" With Free Party In Hollywood

Manilla Killa Wave Tape
We're excited to announce that we are teaming up with the LA-based label Next Wave Records launching a new "Wave Tape" series that is a guest-curated artist mixtapes that are going to be from artists who have releases on the label as well as friends of the label.

Instead of just uploading the mixtapes, we are doing something special with Next Wave. We are going to be teaming up throwing an intimate private event in Hollywood at the new Next Wave & Moving Castle storefront / event space / office at 7662 Melrose Ave.

The first event will feature Bearson who will be performing on June 28 from 7-10pm PST and the second event with Manila Killa & Robotaki July 6 3-9pm PST.

The event is free to attend, you simply have to RSVP through this link here.

Don't worry if you can't attend the event in LA in person, we are going to be live streaming the event on the TSIS Facebook page. We will be posting up the mixtape after the fact as well. Enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Virtual Riot - Flutter (Feat. Madi) : Smooth Future Bass Original

Virtual Riot - 'Flutter' Art

Moving Castle has employed Virtual Riot and Madi for their latest release, "Flutter," an upbeat single that melds wavy future bass synths with a springy future house-inspired lead. While Virtual Riot is primarily known for his dubstep efforts, the German producer has made a creative pivot as a late with his artist project.

Prior to "Flutter," TSIS premiered his future bass single, "Stay For A While," which appears volume two of Spirits' free compilation series. He now makes his debut on Moving Castle, the artist collective-turned-label which has delivered a handful of gems including Manila Killa's "Youth."

"Flutter" is the imprint's seventh official release to date and precedes Volume 5 of their compilation series coming soon. Stream the new tune below and grab a copy on iTunes if you're feeling it. Enjoy!
