AC Slater Puts Forth His Fierce 3-Track 'Undefeated Champions' EP: House

ac slater press

It’s only been a few months, but AC Slater is back with yet another dope three track EP. His last EP, I Wanna Show You, was mostly a solo effort, but this new release is a collaboration packed with some seriously heavy hitters.

The title of this new EP, Undefeated Champions, is very appropriate considering AC Slater was able to recruit Wax Motif, Chris Lorenzo, and Redlight to each be respectively featured on a track. Wax Motif and Chris Lorenzo can already be considered Night Bass all-stars based on their past releases on AC Slater’s label, but this marks Redlight’s first appearance, but boy, did he kill it.

As is the case with most of AC Slater’s music, all three of these tracks are in-your-face floor cuts. Each of them feature a formidable synth lead and a bass line that is sure send you into a shuffling spiral, wherever you are.

AC Slater Delivers Impressive 11-Track Debut Album ‘Outsiders’

Ac Slater Outsiders Album

LA-based heavyweight AC Slater has undoubtedly carved a niche for himself within bass music; his somewhat underground imprint, Night Bass, has drawn a loyal following from coast to coast since its humble beginnings in 2014. Most notable about the artist is that he’s done it all without dropping a single album – until now, that is. His debut LP, Outsiders, is finally here, and it’s an incredible offering jam-packed with gritty basslines, an eclectic mix of subgenres and an overall gripping production that only AC himself could pull off.

The full project follows the release of three singles that have each turned heads in their own right: “Dealer” with Tchami, “Dope Slinger” with Chris Lorenzo and, most recently, “All About Paper.” The other eight tracks that join these releases live up to and surpass expectation. AC pays homage to all of the genres Night Bass seeks to celebrate, such as house, grime, UK garage and more, and dips into other more mainstream genres like hip-hop and deep house, as well. Between the abrasive basslines of “Jaws” with Acid Mouth to the intoxicating 4/4 drumline and fast-paced vocals of “Big Riddim,” Outsiders will keep you moving from start to finish. Check it out below. Enjoy!

His distinct works peaked the interest of future house guru Tchami early on and led to their own collaboration, "Missing You," which was fueled with subtle growls and bouncy synths. The night bass sound has also caught the attention of several festivals, including HARD, BPM and EDC where he's hosted his own stage.
