[PREMIERE] Oliver Nelson Drops Funky House Single "Rhubarb"

Oliver Nelson Rhubarb Artwork

The Swedish nu-disco guru, Oliver Nelson, has released his latest dance floor heater “Rhubarb” with support from UK label Perfect Havoc. The release is succeeding his 2016 hit single “Ain’t A Thing.” This new track is an incredibly fun and upbeat tune that is delivered very timely as it embodies all things summer.

The track traps listeners immediately with its funky percussion that’ll inadvertently teleport your mind to a light-up dance floor in the early 80’s. Followed with contagious piano melodies and intoxicating horns, “Rhubarb” is an insanely memorable song. A song that we are delighted to premiere. Enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Satin Jackets Release Funky Nu-Disco Track “Never Enough” Ft. Niya Wells

Satin Jackets Never Enough

Our latest premiere comes courtesy of German artist duo Satin Jackets on their latest single "Never Enough" featuring vocals from Niya Wells which is out now on Eskimo Recordings. It's a nu-disco track that is full of feel good vibes right out the gate.

Satin Jackets are made up of Tim Bernhardt who handles the production and Den Ishu as part of the live act. “Never Enough” is filled with bright and colorful melodies that deliver a warm, summertime vibe. The layered synth progressions, clapping drums and dance-driven bassline bring a funky, melodic disco sound for Wells’ soulful vocals to round out the uplifting tune. “Never Enough” is a song that will have your head bobbing from the moment the bassline kicks in through the end. Enjoy!

Mat Zo Drops First Single "Soul Food" From Forthcoming Album [Free Download] - Featured Image

England native, Los Angeles transplant Mat Zo has been a familiar name on the site for quite some time now. He earned a spot on Porter Robinson's "Worlds Remixed" remix package and was featured for his flip of The Knocks' "Collect My Love" before that. Just yesterday though he announced the March 25th release date for his forthcoming album Self Assemble, which he has boldly decided to release through his own label Mad Zoo rather than his former purveyors Anjuna Beats and Astralwerks. Today he takes large strides towards independence with the first official cut off of the project called "Soul Food."

Aside from the standard house kick drum and clap serving as the backbone of the track, Mat Zo ensures "Soul Food" further establishes his ability to create innovative, disco influenced songs like noneother. As disco and new soul elements course through the songs pulsating veins, the British producer has yet again created an authentic house / disco sound that at no point feels half-hearted. And just as you think the song is coming to a close (around the 3:30 mark) Mat Zo revives the track with a tense build up and a head banging drop, worthy of countless replays. Listen below and enjoy the free download!
