Rising Producer Oshi Brings The Heat With Hourlong Diplo & Friends Mix

Ohsi Diplo friends

Throughout the years we’ve seen copious amounts of talent roll through Diplo & Friends, Diplo’s popular radio show via BBC Radio 1Xtra. Both longtime producers, like Knife Party, and newer faces to the scene, like Ekali, have all made their rounds on the show both to share mixes and preview new music. This week, 19-year-old Oshi made his well-deserved Diplo & Friends debut. Oshi has been on the rise recently with a vibrant future-style sound, with tracks like “Heal You” drawing a lot of attention.

This mix is yet another reason that Oshi is one to watch, as the producer brings a power hour of stellar music, some not yet released, to the table. In addition to “Heal You” he mixes a healthy amount of his other originals in that exude the unique signature we’ve come to know and love from the artist. Various tracks from other producers make appearances as well, including Tyler, The Creator & A$AP Rocky’s “Who Dat Boy,” Baauer’s heavy remix of Flume’s “Numb & Getting Colder” and much more. Perhaps the coolest thing about the mix comes at the very end – an intense rough cut of an unreleased collaboration between Oshi, Skrillex and Sober Rob titled "Triumph." Check out the mix below and enjoy!

Rising Producer Oshi Drops Trippy Single “Heal You” Feat. Courtney Bennett + Video

Oshi Heal You

At just 19 years old, Oshi has steadily been on the rise over the past couple of years with a genre-defying signature sound. The young producer has made a name for himself through releases that dip into influences of all kinds, often mixing hip-hop and R&B vocals with wistful production to create tracks dripping with vibrancy. Yesterday Oshi dropped his latest single, “Heal You” feat. Courtney Bennett, an impressive track that incorporates many different styles into one cohesive release.

On “Heal You,” Oshi once again masters blending bits of hip-hop and electronic genres to create something truly unique. The track, which samples Jamal Woon’s original release by the same name, features lush synth melodies and dreamy vocal harmonies, effortlessly tying together elements all across the map with clean production.

“Heal You” even comes with a stellar “Back to the Future”-inspired video, a neon-drenched visual representation of the song that features Oshi behind the wheel of the recognizable DeLorean time machine seen in the film series. Check out the song and video below and enjoy!
