Pretty Lights Shares First Song In 3 Years "Only Yesterday" Alongside Camping Festival Announcement - Featured Image

Derek Vincent Smith aka Pretty Lights has had quite a long presence here at TSIS having covered countless projects from the free music revolutionary and electro-soul pioneer. He's continued to play shows over the past few years including stops at just about every festival, but we haven't heard new music since his Grammy Nominated album A Color Map Of The Sun and we, like many others, have been waiting anxiously for any word on a upcoming release .

We now get something new with "Only Yesterday". which manages to pack that signature Pretty Lights sound. It's places soulful vocals, chopped up instruments and hip-hop inspired drums all together oh so smoothly.  He debuted this track at Red Rocks last year and has been keeping fans waiting since. We get to hear the recorded version of it for the first time as the background track for the recap to a very special weekend.

Last year, Pretty Lights pleased fans with his very first own camping festival, which took place in mountain town of Telluride, Colorado for a special 2 day event. The overall showcase ended up becoming not only a fan favorite, but one of Derek’s most treasured performances to date. Watch the magic from last year below with the new song.

He has also confirmed he is returning to Telluride for round 2 and will be embarking again for his second camping festival. The dates are August 26th & 27th. Find out more about pre-sale / general on-sale tickets, travel packages, and more here. Enjoy
