Speculation behind Australian beat maker / world renowned producer Flume’s follow up project to his 2012 game changing release has been scarce at best for the better part of two years now.
With a sprinkling of extraordinary remixes such as Lorde’s “Tennis Court” and Sam Smith’s “Lay You Down’, along with his former involvement in the booming What So Not side project that just delivered it’s long-awaited Gemini EP, Flume has only released the original “Some Minds” since the success of his self -titled debut album.
This hasn’t stopped the Flume from growing into a powerhouse amongst the music festival landscape worldwide; his signature synth design and bass prowess triggered the current generation of future bass enthusiasts and producers who’ve taken the genre well into the mainstream now.
The new LP is titled ‘Skin’ and will be coming out via Australian powerhouse record label Future Classic. Listening through the 5-minute preview of lush chord progressions, deeply layered bass kicks, and sultry vocal snippets, we can hear a more mature styled production to Flume’s compositions and glimpses of genius.
Flume has stated the album is "almost finished", but the hype around this follow up release will sky-rocket now that we can hear the brief snippet of tracks. Stream the preview below and grab a free download to tie you over for now. Enjoy
