There’s some great shots of a him and his crew exploring a tranquil forest somewhere in Oregon. Watch RL Grime Drop A Gritty New ID At Something Wicked Festival

RL Grime Press Shot

RL Grime has been building up the anticipation for his forthcoming album, Nova, with a steady stream of releases and performances. So far, we’ve gotten a taste of what to expect from his newest tracks, “Reims,” “Stay For It,” and “Era.” RL Grime laid down some extra heavy sets for Halloween, including his highly anticipated “Halloween VI” mix that's even better than we expected.

He played out a gritty new ID from the album during his sets at New Orleans’ Voodoo Music + Arts Experience and Houston’s Something Wicked Festival. One fan was able to capture a video of the new tune from his performance at Something Wicked and has recently uploaded it for our viewing and listening pleasure.

RL Grime starts off his new ID with an intense buildup containing retro synth bass that hints at the impending drop. The tune culminates with a few notes from this bass before the sub kicks in behind a stereo-shredding, distorted lead synth, catching fans off guard and blasting them with a powerful wall of sound. This ID finds RL Grime emitting a dark, industrial vibe with robotic bass and huge, static synths. We can’t wait to hear this tune in full in anticipation of the album. For now, check out the snippet below, be on the lookout for more from RL Grime, and enjoy!

RL Grime Delivers Next Level Halloween VI Mix For 2017 Installment Of His Annual Seres

RL Grime Halloween Mix

For six years in a row, LA-based curator of creepiness RL Grime has consistently set the tone for the spooky season with his highly-anticipated Halloween mixes. Today, keeping the tradition alive, RL has just shared his Halloween VI mix and it might be the best yet.

When the air begins to chill and leaves start to fall, RL Grime always graces us with a treat. Those familiar with the Halloween series already know that RL asks someone special to provide an intro to the mix, and this year non other than Tony Hawk (yep that Tony Hawk) had the honor. Filled with some of 2017’s hardest hitting tracks such as Post Malone & 21 Savage’s “Rockstar”, G Jones & Eprom’s “Hysteria”, DROELOE’s “Kintsugi”, Mr. Carmack’s “DNA.” remix, REZZ’s “Diluted Brains”, Flume & Pusha T’s “Enough” and of course, RL’s recently released singles, this year’s mix is sure to put you in the festive spirit. In the words of the ever ominous R. L. Stine - “dive deep into the darkness” with RL Grime’s new Halloween VI mix below. See tour dates below and enjoy!
