Rufus Du Sol Deliver Incredible New Indie Electronic Single "Underwater"

rufus du sol

Beloved Aussie trio RÜFÜS DU SOL return today with their new single “Underwater”. This release follows “No Place”, which dropped in May and was their first single after a long hiatus. During that hiatus, the RÜFÜS boys were working on their anticipated third studio album, on which “Underwater” and “No Place” are to be included. This latest release is a tasteful follow-up track to “No Place”, as it is an artistic and melancholic record; In contrast to the preceding more playful and uplifting atmosphere.

“Underwater” starts with a perpetual synth, a cultured vocal chant and Tyrone Lindqvist’s engaging vocal accompaniment. Gaining momentum with powerful brass-like hits, the track gets carried into a relatable kick-snare pattern that grounds the listener. Eventually climaxing with an engraving chorus, “Underwater” showcases RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ability to connect with their listeners in various fashions. We actually heard this track performed at Electric Forest back in June, and we were able to capture a pretty solid video… Check it out below. Enjoy!

RÜFÜS DU SOL Release First Track In Two Years With Must Hear Single “No Place”

Nothing gets us more worked up than new RÜFÜS DU SOL music. For that reason, today we'll be bumping their new single “No Place” all day long. It has been over a year since the Aussie trio dropped their 2016 album Bloom which placed #2 on TSIS’s favorite albums of 2016. This returning single couldn’t be more of a jam. They have been publicly promoting that they’ve been working on a new album for a while now, so we are hoping this first single will open the floodgates and summer ‘18 will be full of new RÜFÜS tunes.

“No Place” is everything you’d hope for in a RÜFÜS DU SOL release. Atmospheric pads, enticing vocals, dramatic drums and their unparalleled dance-driven vibe. Already slated to play major festivals such as Bonnaroo and Electric Forest, it is clear that this summer is going to be massive for RÜFÜS DU SOL and we couldn’t be more excited about it… Enjoy!
