Run The Jewels Link With Statik Selektah On Laidback New Track "Put Jewels On It"

Run The Jewels put jewels on it

Run The Jewels were on a hotstreak of album releases from 2014-2016 with their RTJ trilogy, but have taken 2017 to focus on touring together. We've gotten a couple singles from them this year from the FIFA 18 Soundtrack and the soundtrack for the film Baby Driver, and we've just heard a third from the TSIS favorite duo that will be featured on Statik Selektah's forthcoming album, 8.

The new song “Put Jewels on It” is something different from the group, because their production is usually handled by one-half of the duo, El-P. This track is produced by Boston beatmaker Statik Selektah, best known for his work with Joey Bada$$ and Freddie Gibbs. In place of El-P’s aggressive production, the beat takes a more mellow approach and allows Killer Mike and El-P’s rhymes to shine over a classic sounding hip-hop instrumental.

Statik Selektah recently signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, and will be releasing his eighth studio album in December. Enjoy!

Run The Jewels Drop Hard-Hitting Track "Mean Demeanor" For Fifa 18

Run The Jewels Mean Demeanor

Run The Jewels never disappoint. Every project they put out is next level and seems to top the last. For their latest endeavor, the heavy-hitting duo has shared a new track "Mean Demeanor" off the Fifa 18 videogame, and it sounds like the perfect song to get pumped up for a sports game. The gritty, abrasive production sets the stage for the two rappers to trade bars oh the hard-hitting track. Enjoy!

Run The Jewels Share Impressive Claymation Music Video For "Don't Get Captured"

Run The jewels dont get captured music video

Run The Jewels never disappoint with their music video and have just shared an amazing new visual component for one of their album standouts. For their latest video endeavor they’ve decided to take on “Don’t Get Captured” off their most recent album RTJ3.

Last year they dropped one of the best videos of the year for “Nobody Speak” in which they had a room full of politicians physically brawl. This time around thy’ve switched things up going the animated route with a creepy claymation video. RTJ enlisted the directing talents of Chris Hopewell, who also did the video for Radiohead’s “Burn The Witch” that was done in a similar aesthetic. The video is filled with skeletons and has a halloween theme throughout the violent video as El-P and Killer Mike go through the scenes as if riding an amusement ride. Enjoy!
