Rusko Returns After Beating Cancer With Wobble Filled Dubstep Single “Look Out!”

rusko look out

Earlier this week, UK dubstep trailblazer Rusko announced his return to performing after a hard-fought and won battle with cancer in 2017. The producer was just getting started with that news, as he’s just dropped a massive new single titled “Look Out!”.

“Look Out!” is a simultaneously refreshing and nostalgic offering from Rusko, with the artist channeling that early 2000s dubstep sound with gritty, powerful basslines, a steady kick and the occasional cheeky vocal sample. Rusko shared via Facebook that this single serves as a precursor to the “greasy main course” of music that he’ll be dropping in the coming months, and we couldn’t be more excited to hear what he’s got coming. Check out “Look Out!” below and enjoy!

After Overcoming Cancer, Rusko Announces His First Show Back At Wobbleland Festival

rusko

In early May of last year, British producer and one of our longtime favorites Rusko shared the unfortunate news that he’d been diagnosed with gastric lymphoma, an uncommon type of stomach cancer. As a pioneer to the UK dubstep boom and an artist that’s constantly evolved within electronic music, this news was devastating for artists and fans alike throughout the community.

After many cancelled shows and months of treatment, Rusko came back on the scene in October to announce that he was cancer-free. Yesterday the good news continued for the artist, as San Francisco’s extra heavy Wobbleland festival announced that Rusko will be appearing at the event in February with artists like REZZ, Feed Me, Minnesota and more. The massive festival couldn’t be a better way to welcome Rusko back into performing – find ticket information here and enjoy!
