Gucci Mane Drops Star Studded Album 'Mr. Davis' Ft. A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, ScHoolboy Q & More

The weeknd gucci mane asap rocky

Gucci Mane has been on a hot streak since his release from prison last May, and his new feature-heavy album Mr. Davis is some of the best music he's put out since then. The album includes the previously released collaboration with The Weeknd, "Curve," in addition to features from A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q, Migos, Big Sean ,Ty Dolla $ign, and more.

In the time since he has been out, Gucci looks and sounds like a completely different man. By focusing on his health and sobriety, it is clear that he is more focused than ever and is an incredibly inspiring comeback story to watch. Since last May, he released six new projects, had a #1 song with Rae Sremmurd  ("Black Beatles"), proposed to his long-time girlfriend, and wrote an autobiography. For most artists, this much packed into one year would result in a decline in the quality of music. But Gucci is not like most, and his insane output shows his dedication to his work ethic.

For the new album, he calls upon some of the biggest producers from Atlanta right now to provide the beats, including Metro Boomin, Mike Will Made-It, Zaytoven, Murda Beatz, and TM88. The clear Atlanta trap sound is the perfect backing for Gucci's improved rapping and confidence on the mic, starting off with an incredibly impressive intro (as he is known to do). All the featured artists bring their A-game, but none take the spotlight away from Gucci who remains the star of the album.

If this is what his first year has looked like for the new Gucci Mane, we can't wait to see where his already prosperous career will go from here. Enjoy!

Anderson .Paak Links With ScHoolboy Q & Ty Dolla $ign On "Come Down" Remix

Anderson Paak Schoolboy Q Ty Dolla Sign

Anderson .Paak just surprised us with a brand new remix of his 2016 hit song "Come Down" off his incredible album Malibu. The newly reworked version features TDE's ScHoolboy Q and LA crooner Ty Dolla $ign over an updated beat with added percussion.

We had previously heard a version of this song featuring T.I., but the way these three artists collaborate on this new track makes it feel completely fresh. Ty Dolla $ign breezily floats over the beat and assists in a new version of the chorus, while ScHoolboy Q lays down an impressive verse with a quick flow.

Anderson has been busy recently with his NxWorries side project alongside Knxwledge and recently announced an upcoming album with his touring band The Free Nationals, so we're happy he returned to revisit one of the standout's of 2016's spectacular album Malibu. Enjoy!

Joey Bada$$ Shares Hard-Hitting Single “ROCKABYE BABY” Ft. ScHoolboy Q Off Upcoming Album

Joey Bada$4 x Schoolboy Q

With Joey Bada$$’s much-anticipated album ALL-AMERIKKAN BADA$$ dropping next week, he’s shared the latest single off the project featuring ScHoolboy Q. This new track “ROCKABYE BABY” builds up past singles “Land Of The Free” and “Devastated” as the project is shaping up nicely.

Friday the 7th is going to a be a big day for hip-hop as it’s the same day Kendrick’s forthcoming album is set to drop. “ROCKABYE BABY” was co-produced by 1-900 and Chuck Strangers capturing a sample-based, hard-hitting piano beat capturing an eerie, boom-bap vibe that goes so well with Joey’s style. This track goes hard, and getting a Q verse on it was a perfect fit. Joey sounds angry and has a lot to say about what’s currently going on in America right now so stay tuned for the full album next Friday and enjoy!
