SNAILS

Jauz & Snails Team Up On Irresistible, Hard-Hitting New House Track “Motherfuckers”

snails jauz

When we got wind of a brand new Jauz x Snails collab, we didn’t know what to expect, but we knew it would be heavy. With Jauz coming off massive collaboration with DJ Snake, and Snails having recently shred a 22-minute tour documentary on his way to Sluggutopia II, today the two bass music heavyweights have finally unleashed their brand new single, “Motherfuckers”.

Regardless of any preconceptions you may have of a Jauz and Snails collab, you’ll definitely be thrown for a loop when you press play on this latest offering. Characterized by wonky, slow-building synths, skittering breakbeats, distorted, pulsing bass and some raunchy vocal chops, “Motherfuckers” is an irresistibly groovy and unexpectedly powerful new house track from a duo we would never have expected it from. As if we needed any more proof of how versatile both Jauz and Snails are, we definitely got it with this latest. Check out “Motherfuckers” below and enjoy!

Watch Snails' New 22 Minute Epic Tour Documentary About ‘The Shell’

snails the shell documentary

When it comes to relentless, in-your-face bass music, vomitstep powerhouse SNAILS, real name Frédérik Durand, has become one of our favorites in the game over the past few years. Fresh off the 2017 release of his debut album The Shell and a massive tour in support of the project, 2018 should be another huge year for the artist and his ridiculously heavy sound.

Today SNAILS is back with something a little different: a 22-minute mini-documentary that dives deep into The Shell Tour. From artist cameos to taco parties to insane, wall-to-wall packed shows, the short film is guaranteed to keep you captivated from start to finish with both the content and the eye-catching cinematography.

Although SNAILS’ music seems to not take itself too seriously, we see a different side to the artist in the video. From the meticulous planning of the Shell Tour, including the jawdropping stage and the three-act storyline designed by Durand, to the artist’s early days getting his start in Montreal, the mini-documentary gives fans a much closer view into SNAILS than ever before. And although you might not guess it at first, it may even get you in your feels as it follows the conclusion of the tour.

The documentary also gives a small glimpse into SNAILS’ first ever Sluggtopia, a one-day festival at Red Rocks curated by the artist himself.  The sold-out event was no doubt one of the craziest the venue has ever seen, and we’re stoked to pair up with SNAILS once again to put on Sluggtopia II on October 5 of this year. If this documentary has you dying for more vomitstep as much as us, you can find tickets to Sluggtopia II here. Keep an eye out for the full lineup announcement and check out The Shell Tour Documentary below. Enjoy!

SNAILS Announces 2018 Return Of Epic Red Rocks Festival ‘Sluggtopia’ Presented By TSIS

Snails Sluggtopia 2 2018

For TSIS favorite SNAILS, 2017 was undoubtedly his craziest yet. The vomitstep trailblazer proved he was a force to be reckoned with over the course of the year, dropping a standout debut album The Shell (which earned a well-deserved spot as one of our favorites of 2017), going on a massive tour and pioneering his own sold-out, one day Red Rocks festival, Sluggtopia.

Today we’re excited to announce that TSIS will be presenting Sluggtopia for its sophomore return in 2018. The first installment of the one day festival was one of the heaviest shows Red Rocks has ever seen and we couldn't be more excited for round two.

This year’s event will take place on Oct. 5 and will once again be held at the always-exciting Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Keep an eye out in the coming months for the lineup – last year’s included NGHTMRE, JOYRYDE, MUST D!E b2b LAXX, Boogie T and Squinto, to give you an idea of how stacked this year’s will be. For now, check out the wild recap video from Sluggtopia 2017 below and his insane recent SNAILEDIT! mix filled with unreleased music. Enjoy!
