[PREMIERE] Gramatik Teams Up With Balkan Bump And Talib Kweli On Mediterranean-Influenced Hip-Hop Single “Aymo”

Gramatik Balkin Bump

Today we have the pleasure of premiering a brand new single from TSIS favorite Gramatik. Following up on the success of his summer collabs with Eric Krasno and Galactic Marvl, Gramatik keeps the new music coming. Now he's linked up with trumpet player/producer Will Magid’s music project Balkan Bump and hip-hop legend Talib Kweli to share yet another incredible release titled “Aymo”.

Gramatik takes things in an interesting new direction for this latest offering. Starting off with a unique acoustic melody (which sounds like it was played on an Oud), some non-traditional percussion and skittering verses from none other than rapping heavyweight Talib Kweli progress the track into a Mediterranean-influenced drop filled with bouncy bass, abrasive growls and the traditional brass sounds of the Balkans. Check out “Aymo” feat. Talib Kweli below and keep an eye out for more new music from Gramatik dropping soon. Enjoy!

Stephen Shares “Crossfire Pt. II” Feat. Talib Kweli & KillaGraham + Music Video

Stephen Talib Kweli Crossfire

LA-based artist Stephen has enlisted Talib Kweli and Killagraham for a new version of his hit “Crossfire” which is accompanied by an updated music video. Stephen’s unique style blends soul, hip-hop and electronic elements with live instrumentation, something that was beautifully showcased on his debut album, Sincerely

The single's resurrection also encounters brand new production that's steered by abrasive synths and an increased percussion tempo. Stephen says the following:

"'Crossfire Part 2' isn't a remix, its a sequel. This isn't a marketing tool, it's the continuation of the complicated question: 'why him and not me?' I'm going to keep asking it until I lose my voice, and this time around, my friends Talib Kweli and Killagraham are asking it too."

The sequel is aligned with a politically-charged music video that illustrates the message of "Crossfire". Enjoy!

GRiZ - For The Love (Ft. Talib Kweli) Remix EP Ft. Autograf, Big Wild, Naderi & Buku : Must Hear EP [Free Download]

GRiZ - For The Love (Ft. Talib Kweli) Remix EP Ft. Autograf, Big Wild, Naderi & Buku : Must Hear EP [Free Download] - Featured Image

GRiZ seems to be having quite an amazing year having released his most successful album to date earlier this year with Say It Loud with a coinciding sold out North American tour and has been making stops at various festivals all summer long. This is not to forget one of the most impressive feats of all, selling out his first headline show at Red Rocks in advanced taking place later this summer.

Well one of the biggest tracks from his album was "For The Love", the collaboration with hip-hop vet Talib Kweli. We've already featured the remixes from Big Wild and Naderi and now get the rest of the package featuring both Autograf and Buku. This is not your typical Autograf remix, they take things in a very exciting direction, bringing in more bass then we've seen them work with in the past, and it works well. Buku takes things in a glitchy, trap inspired, extra raw direction that is actually the version of the song GRiZ has been playing out at some recent live shows. Listen to all of the remixes and soak them in, and you can pick up your copy virtually free download thanks to GRiZ himself and his own All Good Records. You can also listen on Spotify and support on iTunes if you'd like as well. Enjoy!

Don’t miss out GRiZ as he finishes off his festival dates for the year and also embarks on his new Shagadelic tour hitting all over the US. ALL TOUR DATES BELOW
