Tchami And Malaa Reunite On Wild New Collab “Summer 99”

Tchami Malaa summer 99

Today is a good day for house-music fans, as Parisian powerhouse Tchami and the ever mysterious Malaa have teamed up on yet another incredible single. It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost exactly one year since the house heavyweights released their first collaboration, “Prophecy”, but today they’ve churned out a new future-house track titled “Summer 99” that may just rival its predecessor.

Although Malaa wasn’t part of Tchami’s recently released Alchemy 2 compilation, the masked producer definitely kept busy over the summer, dropping infectious singles such as “Belleville”, “Paris 96”, and his and Dombresky’s collab, “Hostyl”. For this latest offering filled with energetic percussion, bouncy plucks, distorted, detuned bass and some distinctive vocal samples (that some may recognise from De La Soul’s “Long Island Wildin'”), Tchami and Malaa did what they do best, giving us a true banger of a track. Check out “Summer 99” below and enjoy!

As the second installment of Confession’s compilation series, Alchemy 2 is absolutely packed with unique tracks. Featuring offerings from the likes of BROHUG, ANGELZ, Dustycloud, Sluggers and the label head himself, the 10-track compilation is filled with flavors from all across the house-music spectrum. Tchami Unleashes Six-Track 'Revelations' EP

Tchami Revelations EP

Tchami’s awaited Revelations EP has finally arrived in all of its glory. His previous singles “Adieu” and “World To Me” are included alongside four incredible new tracks. The French powerhouse has been unstoppable this year.

His collaborative track “Prophecy” received a stunning remix from Drezo, he’s unleashed two ‘Confessions’ Mixes #5 and #6, while his record label Confession has had various impressive releases including a 12-track mixtape from Malaa, he had an unforgettable Ultra performance, he and AC Slater dropped “Dealer” together… and now Tchami has delivered a six track EP. The dude is on fire.

Revelations is everything you’d want from Tchami. It starts with previously released “World To Me” which captures a playful island vibe that nicely eases listeners into the EP. However, “Godspell” comes directly after and is the grittiest track on the EP with a grungy bassline and prolific percussion. “Don’t Let Me Down” is a unique song starting with an uplifting intro with male vocals and powerful piano chords that eventually gets flipped into a darker deep house track. “Zeal” is a vibey track with melodic mallet hits, an enticing vocal accent, groovy underlying bass and powerful synth chords. “Adieu” as we know is an incredible track and “Adieu Pt. II” is a genius move by Tchami that he executed perfectly as it uses many similar elements as its predecessor but is a completely different vibe. Revelations is an incredible release from Tchami… just as we expected. Enjoy!
