Naderi Impresses With Massive New Remix Of The Chainsmokers’ “Somebody”

Just last month The Chainsmokers came out with their undeniably catchy tune “Somebody,” featuring Drew Love of THEY. Although it was an easy track to get stuck in your head, one of our favorite producers, Naderi, has taken the track to an entirely new level.

When it comes to remixes, Naderi is arguably one of the best in the game right now. His take on “Somebody” is seriously impressive. Naderi adds a spicy new flavor, flipping the track into certified future bass banger, switching up between vibrant supersaw synths and rattling dubstep growls.

As we patiently await Naderi’s imminent release of original work, these powerful remixes will certainly hold us over. Enjoy!

The Chainsmokers Team Up With Drew Love Of THEY. For Chill New Single “Somebody”

If you're an electronic music fan or even a music fan in general, chances are you've heard of  The Chainsmokers.  From their breakout single “#SELFIE” to last year’s “Paris,” the duo have changed their sound immensely over the past few years and have taken the world by storm in the process, selling out shows for 20,000+ people and making headline appearances at festivals around the globe.

Today The Chainsmokers are back with yet another single titled “Somebody,” and this time they’ve enlisted Drew Love of rising R&B duo THEY. for some must-hear guest vocals. Their recent songs have had very mixed reviews as they've abandoned their electronic roots focusing on their vocals for an alternative rock sound. However, this time they've gotten some help from one of our favorite vocalists with Drew Love. Composed of Love and Dante Jones, THEY. has become an easy favorite on TSIS, adding their touch on remixes like Charli XCX’s “Boy” and sharing grungy singles like “Thrive” and “Ain’t The Same.”

The strength of “Somebody” lies in its fluid ebb and flow of energy. Love’s striking falsetto takes the reigns from the first note alongside some light piano chords, shortly before Taggart’s lower pitched tone and moodier production takes over. The drop, which draws from glowing synth progressions layered over an abrasive trap-inspired beat, is a nice juxtaposition of The Chainsmokers’ style with something a bit darker. Altogether, the single is a compelling blend of styles and definitely worth a listen. Check out “Somebody” below and enjoy!

Just a few months ago we had the pleasure of introducing a new artist Michael Mar to the site, and now we're excited for him to make another appearance for the premiere of his latest remix.

This time around he takes on The Chainsmokers' recent single "Everybody Hates Me" and has given it his magic touch. He strips away the production adding his own melodic house flavor and speeding up the vocals to give it a refreshing new sound. This follows up Mar's original track "Let You Down" as he shows he's an artist to watch. Enjoy!
