Big Gigantic Deliver Summer-Ready Remix Of The Knocks & Foster The People's "Ride Or Die"

big gigantic the knocks

Last month The Knocks teamed up with Foster The People for their catchy new song “Ride Or Die” that’s already feeling like a summertime hit. Now they’ve enlisted none other than Big Gigantic to give the song a remix, and they did not disappoint.

We’ve most heard original tracks from Big Gigantic as of late so it’s a nice change of pace to hear the duo take on a new remix, especially one that turned out this great. Big G find a groove right off the bat, giving the original track new production maintaining the pulsing house tempo while introducing a new funky bassline, shuffling percussion and uplifting melodies that all come together so well. As always, Dom shines with his added sax on the remix that we already can’t get enough of.

Once again, Big Gigantic are going to be throwing their seventh annual Rowdytown event at Red Rocks we’re glad to be presenting and we’re already counting down the days. Be sure to grab tickets while you still can here and enjoy!

The Knocks & Foster The People Deliver Summer Vibes On Chill New House Single “Ride Or Die”

The knocks ride or die art

NYC-based house duo The Knocks have a knack for cooking up energetic electronica that will brighten up your day. 2017 was a huge year for them that included the release of their refreshing Testify EP, their breakout single “Adrian” with Mat Zo as The Mary Nixons, and their funky single “House Party” with Captain Cuts. Now The Knocks have teamed up with indie-pop greats Foster The People to deliver their latest single “Ride Or Die”.

The track’s lush baselines, crisp guitar licks and whimsical vocals will feel like a homecoming to fans of The Knocks breakout summer hit “Classic” known for its hazy summer vibes. Mark Foster’s effortless vocals soar above the expertly produced instrumental in a way that makes it hard not to sing along on the very first listen. “Ride Or Die” is another instant hit from the TSIS favorites. Enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Oliver Share Funk-Fueled Remix Of The Knocks & Captain Cuts' “House Party”

Oliver The Knocks

LA-based production duo and funk masters Oliver are back with a vibrant new remix that we’re happy to premiere on the site today. This release comes on the heels of the artists’ 15-track album Full Circle, a stacked offering that pays homage to all things funk and branches into other genres, as well. Today Oliver have shared their disco-driven take on The Knocks and Captain Cuts' bouncy single “House Party,” and it’s sounding great.

"One of our favorite bands, Kano, was the main inspiration on this one. We had a lot of fun just taking it back to the basics and making some disco." - Oliver

From the old-school synths and deep bass chords to the awesomely cheeky cowbell, this remix will take you on a funkified journey from start to finish. The duo lead with a stark beat and the familiar spoken vocal sample from the original, masterfully blending in layer after layer of groovy production and live instrumentation from there. The many moving parts and overall disco-tinged vibe of this remix will no doubt get you moving – check it out below and enjoy!
